and im going by your house to pick it up..

jk jk

I wish i didnt live in a complex or i would do it.

i'll just sign it on my front door to have them take it to the office, or my neighbors.

Haha well I'm actually having it shipped to my parents house, I moved into a complex last november but don't really want to risk having anything sent there just yet lol. But I honestly don't feel comfortable having two iPhone 5's hanging around inside/outside of my parents door lol, looks like I'm going Mach 10 driving there once I get off work at 6 lol. Oh the humanity lol.

On a side note, real glad I killed mad time here at work today lol.

Seems like mine is doing well. Things changed all day from the verizon site just saying 'order has been processed and will ship'. I never recieved an e-mail from Verizon but got a text message to which I had to reply "Yes".

The text wasn't from Verizon, but signed you up for a ton of sms spam.

Fedex will not accept such nonsense. The purpose of a signature delivery is that it requires the driver to get a signature from a human, not some anonymous note that left by anybody.

I've done it in the past. You put your name, signature and tracking number on it.

I just checked again to see if I had a shipping number now and I have, even though I can't get anything yet on fedex tracking system, guess it's too early, but the thing is that it says "ship date: 09/17/2012" I don't think I'm going to get the phones that early, it will possibly change, right???

HAHA, the 17th was yesterday!!!!

It's moving again.

I seriously hope this means there is a slight chance they screw up and delivery it before the 21st.

Eeeeee!

Only problem with that is "Future Delivery Request" that's on the last line :)
They get to the last destination and then sit there for Friday deliver :)

So... I ordered at 5am CST on the night of the launch.

Got an order confirmation and my order showed "We received your order and it is in process. Expected Ship Date: 09/21/2012"

It is now Tuesday of the following week and I have no authorization charges and my status is still the same. Everyone has been getting shipping notices.

I called Verizon and they asked "Did you receive a Text Message?" I said no... Then they told me to log in to My Verizon and confirm my order... yet there is no prompt where they told me it would be..

So he put me on hold and came back 5 mins later saying "It has gone through Fraud and is processing" which doesn't help since I still have no auth charges on my card.

Anyone else experiencing this?

If it gives you hope....every phone I have ordered from Verizon has come through the Memphis location and it always does exactly what it shows. Picked up, leaves (Memphis), arrives (memphis) etc. The next departure should be out of Memphis and could be late tonight. Not saying you will get it tomorrow, but everything you see is typical.

according to the two reps i spoke to they will accept this none sense.
no way in hell im leaving my iphone outside, but i am going to write them a note saying take it to my front office of the complex.

Yeah, I noticed that. But, I have connections with a FedEx employee. He is giving the phone to me earlier.

So I have a tracking number, however my date on the website says 9/17 ship date, no status and FedEx has no record of it. Anyone else seeing this?

should i feel ashamed i am using one of my two monitors at work solely for my fedex tracking? and its set to auto refresh every 15 seconds?

nope.... i'm doing my work off my phone so I can keep track of mine on my computer.... we're both nuts. but it's alright. right?

realllly now?
because my friend who works at fedex says if the sender has the future delivery request it wont allow him to scan it as delivered.. or he would let me get mine

Not all Order Locations have things happening yet. I asked earlier for my fellow N215401'ers to speak up, and only one person who ordered at 3:30 AM had any activity, and not even they had a tracking number. Everybody else is in the same boat: "We received your order and it is in process", with the same delivery & ship date of 9/21, no card authorizations, no other activity. Just hang tight. I'd start getting worried Thursday, not today.

At the discretion of the driver. I have had success with it, but asked the drivers about it and they said it is up to the driver, but they definitely prefer human signatures in most cases. Anyone can put a note on a door. It is worth a shot if you are not going to be there, but I would not give it 100% assurance that they will take it. There was an official form that could be used before, but I have not seen one in a while.

It says on the fedex shipping status page. Indirect Signature Required. A note left on the door is just that.

In the past, have you gotten your phones early when you noticed the history shows this kind of activity? That is the phone is delivered before the actual day it shows expected delivery?

I have, in the past gotten packages 1-2 days before they intend to be delivered through FedEx, which is why I like them. They give you a latest possible but if they have it early, they won't hold it till the day they claim it will be delivered, which is what I have seen UPS do.

Thanks!
