Too careful? You do realize that 90% of the screenshots of tracking info are coming from FedEx's website with a sprinkling of UPS thrown in. If being too careful involves not reading previous posts, reposting your own posts, and cursing our Verizon reps who are trying to do their job, then I'd hate to see your obsessive mode.

I didn't curse at anybody over the phone, I'm a bit more civil than I come off to be. But who'd rather an assuming whore than a seemingly uncivil individual?

I woke up at 2:00AM on Sept 14th, and pre-ordered two white 16GB phones.
Got confirmation pre-order was completed. One hour later I received a confirmation via e-mail that my pre-order was being in process with ref. no, etc.

My Ordern number is 49***
Order Location: N211401
Deliver By: 09/21/2012

In the summary both phones are listed with $20 line access fee but at the bottom my monthly charge shows as being $180/mo instead of $140/mo (60 plan plus two $40 line access fees).

I called Verizon two times and they are stating they are not able to see pre-orders in their system unless it was add-a-line thing.

When I check "reference no" link as 1st post suggested it states:
Ace Order#: 47***
Ace Order Location: N211401
Order Status: We received your order and it is in process
Expected ship date: 09/21/2012
Tracking #: (none)
Courier: (none)

PS In the confirmation e-mail states "deliver by: 9/21/2012"

Can someone please tell me what a heck is going on with my order?
I suspect that this will not be processed...

No charge on CCard as well (nor pending, just checked with Chase).

My order was made on Sept 14th at 2:05AM... how crazy it is to be 49***th order... and yet, just now it says "they sent it for processing" ... crazy I know... it looks like it will be taken care of tomorrow tracking info wise and it will be here on Friday... can't wait ;)
 
My status just switched to "We received your order and it is in process. Payment not taken yet." and my ship date changed to 10/5/2012 after saying 9/21/12 all week. Anyone else had this happen?

Happened to me about two hours ago. Spoke to three CSR idiots. Two of them tried to transfer me to Internet sales. It was 9:38 and 9:46 EDT respectively when the reps tried to transfer me. Both times, I got a "This department is open until 10 PM EDT, please call back during normal business hours." <click>. What the. . .?!

The third guy told me something was wrong with my credit card but couldn't tell me what it was. He said despite the order saying it would ship 9/21 all week, it was now changed to 10/5 and there was nothing that could reverse that.

He suggested that I cancel the original order and let him put a new one in since it would arrive on 10/5 either way. After going back and forth about how it's unacceptable that the shipping date was changed with no notice or clear explanation given as to why, I told him to just cancel the order and not create a new one. Why would I want to give that idiot commission anyway?!?

It's completely unacceptable that I was given no notice of a problem. I noticed it myself and reactively called in. It's doubly unacceptable that during the biggest launch for Verizon in recent history, their Internet sales team is cutting out early.

Instead of standing outside a VZW store on Friday morning, I might just wait until things settle down in a month and I'll wander into a Verizon store at my leisure and pick up the phone.
 
I ordered the phone at 6am est on 9/14. My order status said that it will ship 9/21. Recently changed to 10/5. So i called 611 and got a women that told me to call apple directly. She said that i was the first person that she got with this problem, so obviously she had no idea of what to do. So i asked to talk to her supervisor. She tried to say that the supervisor cant help, but i insisted.
She put me on hold for a while. So i called back and got some other person. This guy saw right away that my card was not charged. He charged my account and said that i should receive the phone on the 21st, but that i should not have my hopes up because there is a chance that it might come 10/5.
Kind of sucks because i sold my iphone 4s. And will not have a phone for a long time if it comes october 5th. My order status now says that it is not available at this time.
Really hope that verizon does not move me down the list, because of their mistake. You guys think i should call the internet sales department or just wait and see what happens?

People have seem to have had a lot of luck calling the internet sales department.
 
Called Verizon to submit a ticket to Fedex to add my apartment number to the shipment. Just called Fedex and they told me the shipping information is being refreshed and they can't see anything at the moment but it does seem like a brand new label was created and was just scanned these last few hours.

I'm calling back tomorrow just to confirm 100%. I called Verizon back and they confirmed that they ticket was submitted.

Feeling very hopeful that nothing will go wrong come Friday. :)
 
Anybody from area code N215401? My order doesn't show up anywhere. I'm worried. Ordered right at 3:00 when it was available and other people are already getting their phones. This is JANK
 
I am in Tucson Az and haven't gotten my confirmation e-mail yet. I am thinking tomorrow for sure, but just wanted to see if anyone else has seen movement.

I got a FEDEX tracking number!

I got a response from Verizon CS letting me know that my order was being processed and my delivery date was still 9/21.

Tonight, I GOT A DELIVERY CONFIRMATION AND FEDEX TRACKING NUMBER!! It's being delivered 9/21. Can't wait!


This is from earlier today:
I ordered an iPhone 5 32g white from Verizon around 2:45 cst. I got the confirmation email with the preorder #.

"Order Summary:
Preorder Confirmation: 922072580xxxxxxx
Order Number: 39xxxxx
Order Location: M722xxx
Deliver By: 09/21/2012"

When I checked order status on Friday afternoon, it said it had been received, was being processed and the ship date was 9/21.

On Monday, I got an email from AmEx about a possible fradulant charge to Verizon for the phone. I confirmed that it was a valid purchase.

On Monday evening, my ship date changed to October 5.

This morning (Tuesday), I checked the status and I got this message:

"We received your order and it is in process.
Payment not taken yet.
Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time."
