It happened to my Amex as well. My initial status was for a shipment date of 9/21. After Amex rejected my charge, the status changed to 10/5. I called Verizon and spoke to the first customer rep. He was clueless and said that since the charge was rejected he could no longer process the order. The only way to process the order is to cancel the original order and initiate a new one which would ship on 10/5. I said to not do anything.

I called back another CSR and she was a little more knowledgeable. She said that she ran in to the same problem earlier. She initially could not manually push the payment request to Amex but found another way to trigger the payment. The charge is now showing as a pending in the Amex portal.

However, the current status in the Verizon portal changed to "We received your order and it is in process. Payment not taken yet." and the "Expected Ship Date" is now blank. I'm hoping that they will process the order now for shipment. I'll call them tomorrow to see if there's a hold up in my order and argue that it should be processed immediately since they already charged my credit card.

My portal also says "We received your order and it is in process. Payment not yet taken", but my expected ship date is 10/5. I just checked my CC online and it has still not been charged. What did your portal say before they received your order and is in process??
 
LOL all of you people with declined or botched credit card transactions have me paranoid. Just called Chase and VZ hasn't even attempted to charge me for the phone yet!

Just wondering if any one from location D772101 has been processed recently? My order starts with 73xxxx and still waiting but site still says expected ship 9/21...so here's to hoping! :)
 
Woke up to my shipping email this morning. Now I just have to have fed ex give me the option to pick it up at their location.

I also had my AMEX trouble like everyone, but last night i got my fedex confirmation. Ordered 64gb in black.

Noticed yesterday that date changed to 10/5

Call VZW to inquire what happened.... they said that there was a payment issue, but had never contacted me... after my bank called them... was told that it would be restored to 9/21 status

When trying to verify, online system had "No information"; phone system said phone had shipped and was delivered and already active (guess they recycle order numbers); representatives gave soooooooooo many different excuses....One rep even told me to cancel and pick up in the store on Friday Morning.... What stupidity!

It's odd that you guys are having trouble. Do you guys not pay your VZW bills by using AMEX? They're using to see bills from VZW for me so I guess that's why I didn't run into any problems. I love AMEX. I don't even have to tell them when I travel out of the country, they approve of all my transactions.

I billed my iPhone 5 purchase to the same VISA I use to auto-pay my VZ bill every month so I don't anticipate any issues here. VZ just hasn't gotten around to actually charging me for the phone yet :p My ship date is still 9/21, that hasn't changed.. so I imagine it's got to happen very soon.

I have chase and they had put a "Security Hold" on the transaction...

Call Chase and ask to speak to Security Department!

The chase rep then initiated a 3 way call with VZW's COOS (Credit Order Operations Support) Department and me... to get the order cleared up and restored my position inline

I scolded Chase for them not contacting me about this "Security Hold" especially since I use this card to pay my VZW bill every month!

I scolded VZW for not contacting me that they had a problem and that the only reason I knew was that I saw on an online forum (here at MacRumors) that VZW customers who ordered on 9/14 had started to get tracking information!.

You are paying both companies for services... make them WORK for you!

Tracking Number

Shipping notification came through at 2:39 am. Currently picked up in West Chester PA.

As the local distribution hub is only 5 minutes from my office, I'm hoping FedEx will allow me to pick it up, though I may have the option of working from home.
 
My current order status is "we received your order and it is currently being processed" I called verizon bc my cc was charged yet.

I order first thing Friday morning but had to over the phone bc my card got rejected online due to the card being in a diff name then the main account holder.

The rep told me that bc i ordered it over the phone that they wont be shipping it out until the 9/21 and i will get it tuesday and if i did it online i would have had it friday.

This is BS anyone else order over the phone and receive a confirmation or tracking number?

Im so pissed, they suggested i cancel and reorder online. how stupid can they be then i wouldnt receive it until Oct.... I have a manager calling me back shorty

How did everyone order the phone.. im guessing online :/

So was Verizon able to restore your place in line? I just had the same thing happen. Amex sent me an email at midnight last night saying "fraud alert payment withheld". I cleared it up with Amex within minutes but called Verizon but they weren't open til 6am. Just called Verizon and they pushed payment through but said they weren't sure if it would affect my delivery date. This is BS, I ordered my phone at 3:30 AM ET the day of launch, I'm order # 159xxxx which seems to be earlier than a lot of people on here who have tracking #'s already. Anyone have luck with Verizon reps actually being able to place you back in line where you were?

On another note, Amex may lose my business over this. I've used them exclusively for 12 years and spend a ton of money every month and have never had this happen before. It's even the same card I use to autopay my Verizon bill each month, WTF???

The portal said expected ship date by 9/21 until last night when Amex denied the initial charge then it switched to 10/5. Now, the expected ship date is "not available at this time" in the status page or blank in the Ace order status.

AMEX is the worse company I have ever dealt with... I have stopped using them after they closed my mother's account because it had a 0 balance, never told her... just declined it when she went to use it a restaurant with family and friends.

When I complained to a supervisor in the security department and told them that their actions cost me order of the phone and would be creating a problem, they offered to call VZW to try and get it rectified... that is when the COOS rep from VZW was able to retry charging the card, Chase verified that it went through and then I asked the VZW rep about my order status...

Note that it will take until tomorrow morning for the online system to update.

If you had a payment issue, this could happen. It is what happened for me, according to the nice rep at VZW that I spoke to yesterday at 9PM EDT last night, he said that the system updates overnight... typically finishing by 6-8AM EDT.
 
How do you get the number for your local Facility? I tried getting the number for the one here in Seattle and it only gives me the 800 number which is the central number:(

Love to be able to pick up the phone before I leave for the airport Friday morning at 10am.....sigh:(

I asked the 800 number for the local number and they said there wasn't a local number they can give me...

Hmm that's weird that they wouldn't give it to you... Try looking for the different hubs in your area and use google maps to get the number.... I don't remember how I got the number last time... I will figure that out today and let you know

My date changed from 10/5 to not available at this time. I then checked my credit card online and it still has not been charged. I'm guessing she did something though because my date changed. I feel kinda helpless. I think i'm going to call the online order number at 8 just to verify everything is cool.

My status went from 9/21 to 10/5; Called via Chase to resolve issue it went to "Not Available" to shipping confirmation this morning... at 130AM EDT

Have your CC bank call for you so they can help you! Since they blocked it for fraud...

It will take until the next morning for the "Not available at this time" message to be rectified as the system updates overnight.
 
Ordered 9/14, 6:15 AM EDT. Credit card charged last night, maybe 8 or 9 PM. Tracking number just received 10 minutes ago. Phones (2 16GB black) in West Chester PA, FedEx, delivery set for Friday. They get here by 10:30 AM, normally.

Same thing happened to me- I called on Monday and they told me the same thing - they used the billing info on my Verizon account rather than the billing info I SPECIFIED on the order. They told me I'd have to wait till the 5th.... I eventually got over to Internet sales and they were able to fix the whole thing and garuntee the phones by Friday... Make sure you're talking to Internet sales... The regular sales associates always say they can help, but in reality they can't see the same things on their system.
 
Well, I was hoping to wake up to some action. Still no charge, no tracking, and status still in process with a delivery date of 9/21.

And I feel like I've been getting more emails than normal... It's messing with my emotions every time I see that notification pop up. Sigh.
 
Anyone else from the south jersey/Philly area? My FedEx status changed from west Chester PA to Elizabeth, NJ was wondering why it might have gone farther away?
