I ordered at 12:10am pacific time Friday morning and received shipping email on the 17th. The FedEx tracking number still finds no orders when I check it on FedEx.com. I called Verizon this morning and was told its good it was assigned a tracking number but its not shipping until tomorrow so FedEx won't have info on the tracking number until tomorrow when it ships?

Does that make sense? Shouldn't fedex at least show where it's going or expected delivery date or something?? I simply has no idea what the tracking info is and said its not found like it doesn't exist. Verizon's website and the email said it shipped, but they are telling me on the phone that it won't ship until tomorrow even though it was assigned a FedEx tracking number on the 17th...

Your thoughts??


in 'march with my ipad 3, i had the same issue. YOu'll get it! they store all the devices at a fedex warehouse. When someone purchases the device, verizon marks down that serial in the system as purchased assigns a ref #, sends the info to fedex thjey give them a tracking #, then they have to go and physically scan the product to initiate it. "pick it up"

there are thousands of them that they have to hand sort. yours must be at the bottom of the barrel ;)

notice how mine is picked up in memphis (warehouse location) .

your tracking # will prob start working by thursday. dont worry happened to me before!

So it's still likely it'll ship (arrive) by 9/21? Seems strange that everyone has had shipping details for a couple days.
They are shipping everything Standard Overnight, so as long as they get it out the door by Thursday afternoon, you're all set to receive it on Friday. Seeing as you're already at the processing stage, you will likely get your tracking info well before Thursday afternoon.

Who knows how many iPhone 5's got ordered through Verizon, but I'm sure it's a ton. I assume they started shipping them out on Monday/Tuesday so they could get to everyone (all the 9/21's) by Thursday.
 
I ordered through Verizon Business online with an AmEx card on 9/14 at 5:15am. No charge on my card yet. When I log into my Verizon acct it just says high demand delivery date 9/21/12.
This is not fun!

Seems like all of the business/corporate site orders are at a complete standstill, regardless of order time. Every reported order status indicates the order is "awaiting inventory" . . . not a good sign. It's also a little discouraging that your card hasn't been charged (I don't have online access to mine so can't check). Hopefully the business orders will see some movement today, and on the bright side Verizon hasn't given us any reason to dispute the reported 9/21 delivery date on all the business site confirmation e-mails. But, it would not surprise me if Verizon is giving these orders second-rate priority since that business won't be affected much (if at all) by late phone deliveries.
 
Destination Address?

Anyone else not seeing their destination address show up on their FedEx tracking page?

Everything seems to look normal, except I don't see a destination address.
 
well... unless if it's flown to California this morning, I don't see it getting here today. :(

Mine says 9/21 estimated delivery and my tracking is showing same path as yours. If you get it today, then I should get it today also XD if not, both 9/21 :p
 
I didn't know the time of my email but I knew I ordered right around 9am EST so I came back to my desk and checked and sure enough. 9:21 EST. I'll call back in a bit. See what the next person says.

you might have to check your emails brother, you should have two with the subjects like:

"Important Information Regarding Your Recenter Verizon Wireless..."
and
"Verizon Wireless- Your Order Confirmation "

My order was placed at@ 7:58AM

with the preorder confirmation, Order number, Locale & Deliver by 9:21/12

Now I look at my confirmation details:

Courier :
Status:
Ship Date:

All blank. I dont MIND waiting for the phone, but Verizon will be crediting me every day after 9/21/12 for delay. Just a testiment for them not keeping their (or their reps) word.

I had to order 3 32G Black for our business and it says the same thing. Just checked. One for my personal account has already shipped. Don't know whats up with businesses. I used AMEX as well.

I'm getting all the same entries except mine is showing 9/21 for a delivery date. Doesn't make sense for it to take longer to get from Memphis to Ohio than it takes to get to California.

If you've gotten that far (your credit card has been charged and the order status info is all blanked out), I'd consider that good news. That means they're getting it out the door and waiting on the tracking number from FedEx.

Given that there's still about 25 hours left for FedEx to pick up overnight deliveries for Friday, I'd be willing to bet it's smooth sailing from here.

Mine is doing the same dance, on its way to California except my expected delivery is 21sst by 3pm.


Seriously I don't think I've ever seen a package get scanned SO many times in one place.

For what it's worth, every screenshot I've seen has absolutely nothing listed on the page for Destination.
 
My hypothesis is that since they're holding it back for future delivery that it's getting stuck in the system. Since its standard overnight shipping they are keeping them in Tenesse until tomorrow.

Atleast my iPhone has the company of all yours so it isn't lonely.

Never received the first email, just the confirmation email at 9:21am EST which means I had to have placed the order before then so my order was around 9am or a while before. I will call back now that I know exactly what time I got my confirmation. All update pages still showing a delivery of 9/21. Which is odd because a lot of people are already showing 9/26.

I'm sure it'll be okay. I'd be more worried if the number or street name were incorrect.

Heck, my street is a compound word (think Oakwood) and on some of the signs it's "Oak wood" and on others it's "oakwood" (no space). We don't even really know which way it's supposed to be lol.

Kelleybp I called AmEx to just listen to the recent charges on my account, via recording. I didn't speak with an agent. I will call a little later just to make sure they aren't holding up my order. Maybe the business accounts are getting a different priority since we weren't able to order as early as retail customers but they still had to set aside a number of phones for all customers. Hopefully we will be get a shipping confirmation later today but I have a feeling I won't get anything until Thursday night.

First everyone was going crazy that they haven't received their tracking confirmation, now that mostly everyone has it, it's still not good enough lol.

With that being said, my order was picked up at the West Chester, PA location since 3:05am without any transit, am I still good lol?
