I had a $1 pending transaction since friday. Heard all these rumors about amex causing issues but didn't think it would happen to me since I had the 1$ pending. Low and behold, last night I get a fraud alert email from Amex. Call Amex and get the flag taken down. Go back to the preorder status website and then it said Expected Delivery 10/5. Payment not taken. Called the Internet Sales number and had them rerun my card. She said I would still get it on 9/21. Today I see the full charge pending in amex and I have a receipt within "My Verizon" that says two day shipping. No official shipping email yet from Verizon though or Fedex number. Deets below:

I think the issue is that initially these pending charges are showing up as "CELLCO PARTNERSHIP" for some people and AMEX flags it. If in doubt, call amex and internet sales.
:apple::apple:Just got my shipping confirmation email!!!! Expected delivery by 3pm Friday. Staying home from work. Fedex shows picked up in Memphis today.:D Still showing as a pending charge for the full amount in my amex.
 
Well now I'm pissed...

I still have zero tracking information on my phone and now I'm getting a "Your order has been sent for processing" with no expected ship date. This changed from yesterday when it was 9/21 as promised.

I've called Verizon twice in the last two days and they still cannot get me information on what is going on. My credit card has still not been charged.

Same thing. Mine went from 9/21 to 10/5 last night and now there it is blank. I am going to call internet sales at lunchtime and hopefully get some answers.

Has this happened to anyone else?
 
I ordered on Friday, was told the phone would be delivered 9/21, have already been charged, and now am getting an "expected ship date" of 10/5.

yes this happened to me but after it was blank for a few hours it turned into shipping and now its on its way

Is ANYONE planning to be home for delivery lol? Looks like a lot of us have work or will be out of town. I'm having it shipped to my parents house and my dad luckily is going to be home when it delivers. My second option is my gf volunteered to call off work to be home for delivery lol. Don't trust a note to leave the phones in front of my house.
 
Still no change for this W779201'er. "We received your order and it is in process" and a date of 9/21. No activity on my bank account. Keeping my fingers crossed! :D
 
Got my shipping notice this morning, 24 hours after my wife got her shipping notice (and my phone was ordered first). So basically, there's no reason to panic until friday comes and there's no phone at your door. Even then, it's a phone that you'll have for at least a year or two, so having it friday vs. next week isn't much to lose sleep over in the grand scheme of things. Orders are processing, and they are all basically shipped overnight anyway since they are being held to assure nothing gets out before friday.
 
Got my shipping notice this morning at 8:05AM Central. I am in Order Location 1526901. I have my FedEx tracking number but it does not yet show up in their system. I'm getting the black 64Gb model. Come on Friday! :apple:

Now I'm starting to get concerned. I've seen no change since I placed my order at 10AM on 9/14.

I have a confirmation email with order number 71xxx from D772001. I called Verizon yesterday and was just told "everything is fine" and they are sending tracking out in batches.

But at what point should my order start to move?
 
D771901 reporting in. Still saying ships on 9/21 and "We received your order and it is in process", with no charge on my card.

I'm not super-worried about getting it right away on Friday, as while I'm looking forward to it, there's nothing on the iPhone 5 I have to have right away. I'm more just worried that something happened with the order and stuff is broken, or my mediocre-but-improving credit got denied ;)

Still, my gut feeling is they're just buried underneath a ton of orders and still playing catchup, so I'm content to wait for now. If I don't hear anything Thursday, though… :D

Oh, forgot: ordered at about 10AM Eastern, and the original e-mail does say "Deliver by 9/21".

DMW16, Do you have a pending charge on your credit card? If it is only for 1$ or $0 I would just call them and make sure they are aware that you will be getting a charge for ($XXX round up to whole number) from either VZW, Verizon, or CELLCO PARTNERSHIP and that it will be a legitimate charge. You can also call verizon internet sales at (866) 338-7390. They know what is going on. I had to call them last night because I got a fraud alert.

My order has been sitting at "We received your order and it is in process." with no charge or pre-auth on my Chase credit card. I've bothered Verizon twice and they assure me i'll be receiving the phones on Friday.

I'm trying to be patient here, but seeing everyone else having an order is annoying.

I ordered at 3:11 am on the 9/14. I have the same issue as you (D77201), I called this morning and was told all was fine. I ordered 3 Phones, 1 White 64, and 2 White 32s. I think the White 64 is holding things up. I have a feeling our order is going to come down to the wire on this one.

I was told the brief switch to "10/5" was a glitch.

(Verizon also discovered another issue with my order where it was associated with a name other than my own. They are attempting to sort out how my order was crossed with someone else's. Hopefully that's not a widespread issue.).
