Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

In past years, when it says 2-3 weeks, do they normally come sooner? Mine says 10/5 but I hope it'll come sooner.
Ok people. The phone will arrive when it arrives. You may not get shipping info until tomorrow as it is shipping overnight for Friday. I know we want our phones, but your life wont cease and the world wont stop rotating if your phone is not there first thing on Friday. Enjoy the anticipation... Enjoy the phone when it comes. But if you are legitimately getting anxious in a bad way, upset, worried etc, over a cell phone then it is time to go outside for a walk and think about what is really important in life. If it is late then so what. Life does go on. No need to harras VZW and Fedex needlessly because you are impatient. ITS JUST A PHONE! It will get there eventually and until it does enjoy the excitement and anticipation... Lose the anger and anxiety... Again... ITS JUST A PHONE!

hmmmm I ordered mine at 3:18AM through apple and it said delivery was for 9/21, my credit was charged on sunday but I have no tracking... anyone having this issue ?

I'm so glad we have Eric here to keep us sane lol. I enjoy the anticipation. Which is why I'm sharing it with everyone here on macrumors with other iPhone enthusiasts. If you aren't anxious why the hell are you on a preorder forum in the first place haha
Same boat here, ordered a 64gb and a 16gb. No news since friday and called also today and received the same answer as you did. I'm in NYC, u?
I ordered shortly after 3am EST and received my order confirmation for a Black 64gb iPhone. New to Verizon, switching from ATT. I've not yet received a shipping notice or hit on my credit card. Calls to Verizon both yesterday and today had CSRs that reassured me that it will still be delivered by 9/21 but it worries me that everyone is getting tracking numbers and shipping confirmations.
Also, using the pre order tracking on their site reveals a delivery date of 9/26!
I'm not sure what to do. I've already called twice today and received the "everything looks good on this end" spiel. Not sure what else to do.
Anyone else in the same boat?

when I called to verify, all they could tell me they could see was the zip code...that's it.
Mine still says "We received your order and it is in process." But I did order mine on the 16th
Amex finally got charged for the full price just now (been sitting at $1 pre-auth since the 14th). No change on the verizon pre-order tracking site yet though...
EDIT: verizon status changed from "We received your order and it is in process." to "Your order has been sent for processing."

WOW too funny! I can't believe people are calling to try to get the delivery early. I just want my tracking already so I can rest assured it will be here by Friday as stated on my order. I am in wonderful D771001. If I don't have my tracking by early afternoon tomorrow I will be on the phone with VZW to see what's up.
Finally some movement on White 64gb. Received confirmation at 3:14 am EST and just went to processing and hit credit card. Location D772101 for all those looking for updates from that location.

so annoying... been waiting patiently for my tracking number and just got two emails saying my order was on hold because they needed a 400 deposit. when i ordered (4:30 am est) they put that on my confirmation email. so why would that cause it to go on hold??? i don't even know why i'm being charged a deposit, i have great credit. it said the reason was "un available" whatever that means. called internet sales and the dude couldn't explain anything just that he needed an ok to process payment. he said i will still get my phone on friday but my ship date just changed from the 21st to 10/5. it better change back
