Hey man, it sounds like they were treating you like you lost your place in line. I ordered my 32 GB black iP5 at 10:35 AM Friday. My credit card was 'charged' late last night (temp auth), the Verizon status changed to "your order has been sent to processing" and within a couple hours I had my Fedex tracking number for delivery this Friday., 9/21. Keep the faith. "Order sent for processing" means you're close.

Thanks for your support haha it won't be the end of the world but man it would be great to have it Friday like I was told!
 
HSBC is right on the ball. I got a fraud prevention call tonight about the phone order. Um, folks, my card was (by their own admission) charged two days ago and Verizon handed it off to FedEx then. Nice job, guys.
 
Of general interest: UPS says, please stop bothering us, you're not getting your iPhone 5 any earlier than Friday. They now have a special message on their website about it. http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57516398-37/ups-to-iphone-5-buyers-youre-not-getting-it-early/

This link provided by falconer is fascinating. To me, it highlights that Apple is taking the accidental leaked early deliveries more seriously this year to avoid what has happened (by accident) in the past.

A quote from the article on UPS Website: "Apple has required that UPS deliver iPhone shipments to customers on and not before Friday, September 21, 2012," the message reads.

Another part of the UPS message explains that packages may not be moving (now) since they are being "staged in key locations" and "moved on a coordinated schedule" for delivery on Friday."

I predict UPS and Fedex are blasting these out from their hubs or staged locations starting tomorrow for Friday deliveries, and we'll see that from movement outside the hubs (like Memphis).

The article also highlights how annoyed UPS is getting (and likely Fedex, and Verizon, and AT&T, and Chase, AmEx, etc.) from unnecessary calls from anxious or excited people. Let's let these largely hard-working, dedicated folks do their jobs and only call if there's a clear problem.

I'm grateful I have a phone coming and that I don't have to stand in a 4-12 hr. line... I will swing by my local Apple store on Friday AM just to take in the hopefully carnival atmosphere and grab a few photos (like a panorama of the line). Good luck everyone ! ;)
 
D771001 here. Ordered 9/14 at 07:05 ET here in NYC. After seeing no activity at all, my ship/delivery date just got bumped to 10/5. Previously was 9/21 for both.

SHow this data from both forms, the one on the first post of this thread as well as the one sent to me via email.
 
I don't know what is going on. The rep told me I got kicked out of place in the first shipment and my new ship date was 10/05, yet my CC balance went down the correct amount and now the online order status says: in process, payment not taken yet, but now the 10/05 disappeared and it is blank. I am on the line waiting for an internet order sales rep now to see what on earth is going on. She told me it gave her a NEW order number, it didn't The order number she gave me matches my original number. I am going to be SO mad if this doesn't ship until 10/05!! :mad::mad::mad: Is there still a chance it could go through? Any hope for me?

More then less likely you are going to be fine.

Mine took well over 12 hours
 
Is this a good sign? My order was supposed to ship on 9/26 but maybe they bumped me for Friday? A few hours ago it was at: 'we received your order and it is in process.'

If I got bumped, that would be SO awesome!

Why is everyone's Ace order location start with a letter and mine starts with a number? Also mine is still showing 9/26. Has your money been taken out then since your status has changed? My money is still there.
 
Soooo I just got my shipping confirmation the other day, and I looked at the tracking, and then got really confused. Is Fedex going outside and doing some doughnuts in the parking lot with a bunch of the shipments and then going back to the facility? Or is there something wrong with the tracking. Can anyone explain??

Mine started with a number 1526901 which is in Dallas my card was charged in last 30 mins
 
I want a pending charge please!!! What time did you place your order on the 14th and where, man? Mine was placed at my Verizon store at 11:06AM!

I got in around 3:20 AM with 9/21 as a delivery. There was a problem with a credit check so I figured I'd wait in the morning. Called around 11 AM to get things sorted out and the pre-order status showed 9/26 until tonight. Verizon did a $1 charge earlier in the week and now it's showing the full amount.

So either I got bumped or the preorder date was wrong.

Yes it has been taken out. I'm not sure how Verizon categorizes locations.
 
Still waiting on hold. The customer service rep told me that I can keep refreshing, but it says 10/05 on her end. I don't see how I would get kicked out of line if my order number still is the same. She said that it "semi-cancels" your order if there is a fraud alert. :confused:

Has anyone from location P218101 been charged yet or received FedEx/UPS confirmations? I'm in central NJ... :-( this wait is killing me lol I ordered Friday 8am est.

Hah. I bet it got left on a truck, and every time the truck goes out it registers on the tracking manifest. Awesomely nerve-wracking to see, I bet.
