So I went with the share everything plan at 6GB. Once I get a few bills and if the family gets nowhere near 6GB can I downgrade to the next lowest plan 4GB without messing up the contract of two years?

Also I will be switching to Verizon from AT&T with porting of my current phone numbers. At what point do I call AT&T and cancel that account.

Yes, at least that's what the Verizon Rep told my family.
I got my confirmation email, but when I try to check order status, I just get an error. Help?

My ship to address is all screwed up with my email address showing up in the area where the street name should be. Like this below:

John doe
John.doe@yahoo.com
New York, NY *****

How this happened, I have no idea. It should be the exact same as my billing address.

I just called Verizon about it. The rep recognized the problem, but made like it was an issue that would take time to fix. I'm suppose to get a call back should his "fix" not work.

Never heard of that, mine mirrors my billing address exactly. At least you called, I hope they can fix it for you.

Yes, you can downgrade. Also, you can monitor usage on the website. It is pretty nifty.
 
anyone order from vzw and got shipment updates?

Mine says processing to be shipped Sep 21st and I ordered mine at 3:10AM

My shipping address missed the "South" portion of the street (ex. 950 20th Street South).

I contacted them but they said because it's a preorder they can't change it until the tracking number gets sent out then they'll submit a ticket to their warehouse. Even though the billing address has been the same for 5+ years and I didn't change anything in the order.
 
Has anyone else not gotten their email confirmation but the preorder number tracking works on the website? My order went through and all, but I still haven't gotten an email.

I ordered early this morning at 2 am and i still haven't gotten my confirmation email,but the preorder number shows processing on their webste and i called verizon and they said they have received the order,on checkout last night it did say because of backlog that it could take up to 24hrs for confirmation email.So i wouldn't worry.

Ordered around midnight pacific time. 32GB in black.

What link do you go to? I go to a link and when I enter my info, it justs say my order number and a blank spot where the tracking number should be

When I switched from AT&T to Verizon, as soon as Verizon started the process of porting my number over (which took only a few minutes), the account was cancelled at AT&T. I never had to notify AT&T personally. AT&T just mailed me a document a few weeks later showing that the number had been ported and that my account was cancelled, if I recall correctly.
 
Ordered just before midnight PST, received e-mail confirmation at 12am PST, mine currently shows:

We received your order and it is in process.
Expected Ship Date: 09/21/2012

Also, checked my bank account and I now have $1.00 more than I previously had.
 
Just want everyone on here to remember that people who ordered from Apple are going to start getting tracking numbers here in a day or two, but us that ordered from Verizon aren't going to get them till probably around Wednesday. So try not to worry because other people have gotten theres!
