Anybody still have a blank delivery date? Mine was the 21st then 10/5. I called and checked with online orders and they said everything was fine (even sent me an email saying that it's being shipped fedex but with no tracking). I still have payment not take yet. Blank delivery date too. Seems online orders is assuring me everything is fine though. Just waiting on that magical email.

Im in the same boat man. "we received your order and it is in process. Payment not taken yet." I have a confirmed full amount pending on my AMEX. I ordered at 1:04 AM 9/14. But my credit card was declined and i called today at 1:00 pm to fix the payment. Still blank for my ship date, occationally when i refresh it will give me a random date and then i click refresh again and it changes back to blank lol

Me too. Seems we are going through the same thing. I called my CC and approved the transaction. I then called Verizon and told them to put it through again. They said they did. I still show no transaction when I check my CC statement but when I called the CC they claim that a payment has been processed.
 
My status just changed as well from Awaiting inventory to Completed in my business account. My cc was also charged. Looking for a 9/21 delivery with overnight shipping. Great news!
 
Ditto for me, mostly. I have been trying to read through all the comments here and realize that I ordered my phone early enough to be in the first batch, and being part of DD771001 I guess we're all getting a much later notification of shipment, etc. than the rest.

FINALLY, my "We received your order and it is in process." has changed to "Your order has been sent for processing." AND my Amex has been charged finally. Still no tracking number, or any more communications from Verizon, but now I'm hopeful that my 9:54am EST Friday 9/14 order will deliver by Friday (hopefully). (I thought being after 9am EST I'd not get my phone in the first round).

Also, side note, I am switching to Verizon from AT&T. And as proof of Murphy's Law, I was at the beach in Fire Island the other day dropped my already cracked 3GS, and the screen shattered, and I cannot even slide the "slide to unlock" now, so I have NO PHONE until this iPhone 5 arrives. I was waving the AT&T phone in the air trying to get service and it slipped out of my hand (Fire Island has notoriously bad AT&T but excellent Verizon service) - haha. It's been quite a chill few days without a mobile phone, but it will be VERY SWEET when that iPhone 5 arrives! :D

For those of you who are worried because you didn't get your confirmations, or your status didn't change on the Verizon status page - don't fret. Good things come to those who wait!! Just be THANKFUL you have a working phone. I can't even open mine :-(

I accidentally through my 4s into the water at Flynns MDW and jumped in and got it, dried it out and it worked. Lol

Credit card transactions can take up to 5 business days to post to an account. It is not like debit where it is taken as an ACH, which shows up immediately. As long as your balance has dropped the amount of the order, they have taken the payment.

You can log into your MyVerizon account and click on Profile, scroll down to My Documents and Receipts. If your card has been successfully charged you will find what looks like a photocopy of a receipt.
 
Status page update its a few hours ago to show that my order had been sent to processing. My payment went through at that same time and I've just received tracking. In Memphis and ill be refreshing that baby all day tomorrow!
 
Next time someone asks one of those asinine questions for the umpteenth time, just tell 'me, "See post #4401!" :)

Sorry, didn't read the requirements for 'minimum # of posts' in order to have an opinion. So glad to feel welcomed here.

Thanks for the heads up. Seems my transaction went through at 6:06ET this am (when I called). I placed my order at 9am on Friday.

Apple announced they were pushing delivery dates way back up to a month to catch up. My phone is sitting just on the other side of the River in NJ waiting for Friday. Order # 16xxxx at 3:12 am. Good luck to you all who are still without tracking and confirmation I hope they settle it sooner than later.

Apple fans like to think that they're the most knowledgeable in the subject. We are, as a matter of fact. So make sure you always check your facts. And don't try to sound too authoritative. Especially if your tag says "macrumors newbie"

I'm in the same situation as you (same location and same order time). Are ours on track for Friday delivery?

Keep in mind that shipments from Apple are on a completely different time-table than shipments from Verizon. Verizon, even today, is still able to promise delivery on 10/5 for new pre-orders but Apple is saying "3-4 weeks".
 
Just when all hope was lost, when the battle had long seemed over ...

My page updated! It now shows no ship date like many of you, and simply says "your order has been sent for processing." Also, the Amex got a $425 hit. Whoohoo! :D

No, you are not the only one. I ordered Verizon Black 64GB on Apple.com around 12:05 AM PST on pre-order live day, and still "processing for shipment" tonight...! Anyone else still pending shipment info?
 
64 GB Black Verizon ordered through apple.com. Confirmation email 3:15am, shipping to Pittsburgh. My order is still "Processing". Delivery by 9/21 though. Not even at "preparing for shipping" yet. Nothing pulls up on UPS or FedEx, nothing on support page.
