I'm with pixpocket, 2-day here. They didn't give me an option, just said it would arrive on 9-21 and my confirmation shows 2-day also

Yep, me too. No option on shipping and said "Delivered by 9/21" on confirmation e-mail, etc. *grrrrrrrr*
 
Same thing with me. I called Verizon and they said they are "escalating this to shipping" but I don't know what that means. If I don't hear anything by close of business i'm canceling my order and going to my nearest Apple Store to wait in line by around 8PM.

Ordering through Verizon has been an absolute nightmare.

This is my first year doing an online pre-order, and I chose Verizon. I haven't had any issues yet. I received my confirmation email and tracking number, and it all looks good so far.

I previously camped out the last three releases, so it's definitely more fun to do it that way, but I had to work this year :-(

i still might not even use a case on this one since its not all glass back. Ive always bought inCase. they are the most durable, and slim. i just picked up a griffen cheak $20 one from walmart after my incase broke a few months back.

for real these incase sliders are tough. My 3g back in the day, got ran over at the ATM. The phone was face down, the front glass broke of course, but no damage done to the back or the inside of my phone. I was surprise

I've done that for the past few years. I telecommute so I can probably get away with it, it's just frustrating all the run around I'm getting from Verizon. When did you get your tracking number?

It might ship later cause my Card got charged Monday and it shipped Tuesday. Yours might no ship till tomorrow.

did you not get an email saying it shipped? check the junk mail?
 
Just called Verizon because my status still says in processing. Card has not been charged. Confirmation email and status say est. deliver by 9/21. The rep said that my order has been processed and I should be billed soon and receiving tracking information. He said that I am still on schedule to receive our phones tomorrow. I hope he is right! I ordered at 0900 EDT. This will be my first smart phone.

I've seen some people in this thread report that they got their shipping/tracking emails for orders placed at 1030 and 1130am est

Mine went for processing a little after 8 last night too. placed my order at ~950AM est. My friend who placed his order around 830am est got his tracking email about half an hour ago.

There is no "ordered after 9AM will not arrive on 9/21" thing. There is a

"Ordered before 9AM will arrive on 9/21" thing.

These are not the same.

I ordered around the same time. If they told you that it was coming on 9/21 then you should expect it on 9/21. Fedex, Apple, and Verizon have done this before. They know how many units they had available before they had to push back ship dates.

My card didn't get hit until last night around 9:30pm, and then I got a tracking number around 2:30am (was there when I woke up).
 
This is my first year pre-ordering online and with Fed-Ex. I had a question regarding my package. I'm in the Philadelphia area and my package states it is to be delivered by 3pm tomorrow. But it originally started in West Chester, PA (which is not that far, going to be usual Fed-Ex shipping facility) but now has left PA and is in Newark, NJ. Is this typical? Should I be worried about receiving it tomorrow or call them to verify? FedEx has it stated still to arrive by 3pm. I am beginning to regret not finding a way to take off tomorrow so I can avoid this worry! Any help or thoughts would be great. If this previously was mentioned, I apologize but the thread was quite long and my search didn't show anything.
 
Just for anyone who might be in the same situation...

I am in a situation where I will not be able to sign for the package when it gets delivered tomorrow. So I tried to use the "Hold at Location" feature on the tracking page of my shipment. But that said "Hold at FedEx Location service is not available for this shipment". I called FedEx just a few minutes ago and spoke with a representative, and she said they could hold it for me. So now I plan on going when I get a moment during work to pick it up.

Just thought this might help someone.
 
What time did you order? Do the emails with tracking numbers go to the employees as well or only to the person responsible for the business account?

I ordered last Friday at 0707 am. Emails go to employees as long as the account admin specifies that when the order is placed. Otherwise just the account admin gets the email notification.
 
For everyone that initially had a ship date of 9.21, unless there was something wrong with your address. it will ship to you tomorrow. Verizons system go's from the ship date , then to nothing available, then you will get your email confirmation shipped with a tracking number through fedex. verizons system is quirky and gos through this process almost every time. so don't worry, if theres nothing wrong with your order?, you will get it on the original date. This has happened to me two times now on Iphone preorder launches.

I ordered a few minutes after 10 am est. and got shipping info early this morning. When I ordered I was told the 21st up until yesterday when I called they told me the 26th. I gave up until an hour later my card got charged and 5-6 hours later I got shipping info. Looks like you were a little after me but I think there is still hope for you. Good luck!

So you are in Austin, correct? Were you able to get the FedEx hub here to hold it for you? I am not going to be home tomorrow when it is delivered, so I'd like to get mine held for me so I can pick it up whenever, but when I clicked on the "Hold at FedEx Location" link on the tracking site, it says "service is not available for shipment".

Also, btw, for verizon pre-orders you can try tracking by reference if you don't have your tracking number.

Your reference # is your Location code_order number padded with zeros. Example:
D771001_00017XXXX is my reference number.
D771001 was my location
17XXXX was my order number.

I ordered at 10:35 AM Pacific (in So Cal) and have confirmed delivery w/ FedEx tracking for tomorrow by 3 PM.:)
