Wow, we are slacking. Even the UK thread has more than us! Still, we've got a lot more pages than last years VZW iPhone Preorder thread. That one only had 112 pages.
You're fine, don't worry about it. Newark, NJ is where a lot of Fedex packages go and they load them up onto planes there for them to be shipped out to everyone who preordered. You've got nothing to worry about.
Thanks for the heads up! Got a tracking number for 1 the other 2 say completed. Should be ok though.
just roll in and ask. show them the pro card. (or have them look it up by your phone #)
if they give you hell saying you have to buy something show them that pic of my case and receipt. it shows that i didnt purchase anything. my receipt was $0
I think you should be hopeful. You placed your order about 30 minutes after me, and your experience thus far sounds exactly like mine (and everyone else's) this morning... "sent to processing" followed by fields left blank, followed by CC charge. A few hours after all that, I received a tracking number and ship date. Don't lose faith yet!!
Yup. Looks all too familiar. So anyone think they've actually left Memphis yet? I'm thinking mine could pick me up some Rendezvous BBQ before it heads out.
after they go to your house and you arent there they leave a door tag, saying when it will be back at the hub. (usually around 6 pm from my past experience )

nah dude you should get it friday! verizon said they wont charge it until it leaves to be shipped. youll get your tracking # this even. When i orded my ipad 3 i didnt get my tracking # untill the morning of launch, i put the tracking in and it shows it started shipping well before when i got my tracking #. so just because you dont get yours till later, doesnt mean its not already on its way.!

If my shipment departed FedEx in Newark, NJ and is transit (assuming to Columbus, OH), then they must contract out to other airlines? Say Continental/United?
Just got off the phone with Internet Sales that they said they should've shipped individually but I only got one tracking number, they said I'm suppose to have two. I'm going crazy, please help.
Thanks for the update, Phone 1 has shipped and still waiting for confirmation on phone 2. It shows the order is complete when I log into the business account but no shipping info listed.
Aight guys, about release authorisations for those who won't be home: just called VZW internet sales support twice, and had two different agents tell me that I should write a fre-form note stating that I request FedEx to leave the shipment at my door and that I relieve VZW and FedEx of all responsibility for the shipment. One of the agents said that tracking number is necessary, the other one said it wasn't but I could put it on if I wanted to. Both said to sign and date the note, and both said that they do not have a specific form available for this. I am going to call FedEx just to be sure, and I think I am going to go with a form from this thread myself.
B/c this is SOP or b/c you have personal (firsthand) knowledge of the situation?

That's correct. I'm one of the unfortunate customers who could not change ANYTHING in the billing OR shipping address fields when I ordered at 3:26am last week.
It automatically pulled in my information from my Verizon billing info (which DOES have my apartment number, btw) - and it greyed everything out so that I could not change anything. No options to adjust any address-related fields.
So, my apartment # was left out.
yeah they said you can just write it with the tracking #. or print it. whatever.

So I hope I'm not freaking out for nothing. So I finally got my tracking info this morning and I was pretty pumped about it, however mines in memphis TN? Everyone else that I've seen on these forums around my area says that theirs is either in PA or NJ. TN is about 20 hours from where I live. Obviously the tracking info isn't exactly updated frequently especially before the day of delivery but does this seem normal?
Ok, thanks. I guess I'll be driving to the hub tomorrow after work... I'm sure there will be a long line. It's too bad they won't let you leave a signed note on the door since the shipment only requires an "Indirect Signature". Actually, I think I'm still going to try that just in case I get a cool FedEx guy who decides it's good enough.

The issue is that they write about a FedEx Door Tag, and that you can only obtain once they have attempted delivery - they leave it on the door know if you weren't home. But in any case, we'll see if this works, the last year's thread has mixed results reports.
