you can leave a signed note on the door! just sign and ask to leave it at your neighbors and have them sign for it, apartment office sign for it, on the ground (though i dont recommend. ) etc. Fedex and verizon both told me it is cool. or even

well i think a door tag is just anything tagged on your door... the fedex people say its not a specific form. obviously they have a specific door tag they leave when you miss the delivery, but any thing tagged to your door should be fine as long as it has the name in print, and signed. + tracking and instructions.

I would print one out and sign it to be safe.
 
Looks like I'll be getting mine on Tuesday of next week. No pre-authorization charge on the debit card, and still showing that it's in process. Ordered at 11am on day 1. That'll be the last time I do a pre-order in store. :mad:

Is anyone else's traveling a ridiculous distance. Mines being delivered to MA from TN? All the people i've seen for MA have either been coming from PA or NJ

I'm keeping the faith. Just frustrating to see a charge last night and no apparent movement today.

So is it really true that them showing a full price charge on my card means they've created shipping and the phone will go out?

Im in the same situation as you, all I have is my confirmation e-mail from 11am... nothing else, no charge, no tracking, nothing... im still looking for that 10% chance they bump me to 9/21 from 9/26

Yup. 2 16GB black phones, still stuck in Newark. Poor things. Arrived there at 7 AM today. Not sure what's taking them so long to get going.
 
So I called another Internet Sales Rep and she told me my phones are being shipped individually and she gave me two longer tracking numbers for each phone apart from the one main shorter tracking number if that makes sense. So I "should" be receiving both. But when I go to Fedex and put the longer tracking number, shows not found.

My bigger gripe is both the store on day 1 and an internet sales rep have said, "oh no worry, you ordered yours early enough. It may say ship on 9/21 but you'll have it on Friday."

Thinking not so much. Irritating.

That's exactly what I am doing, and I am usign the form from last year. Someone in the pre-sign thread reported receiving that same form from Apple after calling them and asking about release authorization. I do live in a pretty nice gated community and I have never heard of a package being stolen from the door out here, so I think the FedEx driver's discretion should be on my side in this too.
