Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

So I got my phones this afternoon. I had to purchase one of the phones using an upgrade available on a different line than the iPhone was intended for. So today, I try to activate it on the line I want to use the phone on and its not working 
VZW reps told me I have to wait 24hrs before switching the sim from one line to the other. grrr!
Anyone else have this problem?

This iPhone 5 is amazing. I can't slow this thing down and Verizon LTE literally blankets my town and the worst I get is 2 bars of LTE and that's in the basement of my house (where I have wifi) and in the mall on the underground level where all the department stores are. These speeds are amazing.

Just got off the phone with a rep, he said to keep my unlimited data I would have to keep it activated on the line I ordered from for 6 months. Or I would lose my unlimited if I activate it now. The thing is it has to be activated on the other line for atleast 48 hours and then if I switch it, it's still considered an alternate upgrade. I am calling BS
The iPhone 5 is awesome!! And the best part is that I got to keep my unlimited plan and got this phone at the discounted price ... Hell yea!!
Any guesses on what a new in box iPhone 5 16gb would go for on eBay/Craigslist in the middle of November? I am thinking about buying an iPhone full price now, then using my upgrade in November to get another iPhone to sell new in box to recoup the cost of the original full price iPhone. Think I would have any problem selling it for $550-$600? (which would result in me paying only about $50-$100 more if I bought it now)

Welp...looks like im getting screwed. I had a 4:30 delivery time but it didnt show. Once 4:30 hit, FedEx removed the time off the tracking website, and now it is blank...damn you fedex, damn you...

I've sure you could get around that in November.. I'd stick with craigslist though and try and avoid paying ebay/paypal fees.

I'm assuming the track by reference trick doesn't actually work unless they shipped it, correct?
I think so...my order didn't have any shipment information till a day after it shipped but that might have something to do with them holding the preorders.
Now that the original date of the 21st has been fulfilled, has anyone who got bumped to a Sep. 28 delivery gotten any movement in their order?
I have a deliver by date of 9/28, yet my local Verizon store has the white 64gb in stock. Seriously considering it....

I had this same problem. I wanted to upgrade and keep my unlimited so I used another line on my account. What I did was just go to Verizon's website and click active/switch device. It worked fine and I am actually typing this from my iPhone 5.

Lightning cables / adapters
My local Apple Store had plenty of spare lightning to USB cables in stock, and they are expecting to have lightening to 30-pin adapters "perhaps tomorrow". Looks like I can cancel my Apple on-line order for these slated for October delivery.

I did but the lady I called and talked to did it any way but I ended up with intermittent service and my phone was saying no sim so I went to the apple store Verizon reps were there and an hour llater I walked out with a new SIM card and phone working I believe you can do it at 12:01 am I was told and you can do it through my Verizon under activate phone and select the phone you want to switch to the 5 and follow the prompts..... Hope that helps
I've had my since 4pm. It's perfect, but there's a small chip in the metal out of the box, so I'm having it replaced tomorrow. Otherwise, an incredible phone, black/slate is amazing.
So happy I can stop stalking this thread like a mad person.
I'm incredibly happy with my iPhone 5 thus far. Just sent my old iPhone into Gazelle, got a pretty good deal actually.

So my tracking info says my phone is at my local FedEx. Seeing as that FedEx doesn't deliver on Saturday, I'd like to just pick up my phone tmw. Were any of you able to pick up your phone from a FedEx store?
