Same thing happened to me. I was supposed to get the phone yesterday, but my card was declined. I called Verizon 5 times, and the first 4 times they said there was nothing they could do, and that I lost my place in line and the phone would be shipped on the 19th. They said there was nothing else they could do, no one else I could talk to, etc.
The 5th time I called a girl told me all of those people were wrong. She hit a payment button on her end, and within 10 seconds my card was charged. Amazing that she did all this in less than a minute, when I spent probably a combined hour talking to the other Verizon reps who said they could do nothing to help me.
My shipment date is now blank, but she says I will get the phone on Wednesday, which I believe because she's the only person there who apparently knows what they are doing. I can only think that maybe they hired temps to deal with the iPhone launch?
Don't give up, call and call until you find someone who will do this for you.
