I know many are not fans of Radio Shack..but I walked in yesterday to the radio shack in aurora, IL and they have quite a few in stock. Ended up going back today and getting a 16gb in black and 32gb in white. Couldn't believe they still had them! Other radio shacks that don't have them, are saying they can have them shipped to your house 2nd day!! Food for thought.

I preordered on the 21st at about 7 PM at a Verizon store and was put into the September 28 group. My mom hasn't received a confirmation email and hasn't been billed. The preorder also isn't showing up in her receipts on the My Verizon webpage. We had to call customer service to get the reference/order number and all it said was the 28th and it was being processed. I am sooo anxious...

The Apple store in Modesto Vintage Fair Mall has Verizon models. I walked in today and walked out with a 64gb black iP5.
I have that same location! However I'm in Texas with a 9/26 Delivery Date. Thats what the rep told me, my Confirmation # still brings up blank info

Ditto glad to see despite the initial back-order freak out it looks like everyone is getting there phone in a timely manor.
I still have no information on my ship date of 9/26. Trying not to panic - at least it's officially recognized and the date hasn't slipped.
I'm in the same boat and have seen no movement yet. The anticipation is KILLING me. I got the 4S late last year, but that wasn't so bad because originally I wasn't planning on getting it. When I decided I was going to, I found it in store and bought it. This year, I'm waiting for this preorder to come and watching everyone else get theirs and it's driving me crazy. haha.
Of course, there really is nothing I can do with this new phone that I can't do with my current one other than LTE which I don't have in my hometown so I can wait. But it's still driving me crazy.
Will be watching this thread closely and will post as soon as I see movement. I'm always one of the last though, so my hopes aren't too high. Hope I get it by Friday though, as I'm going out of town for the weekend and would like to have it when I do.

There i always the option of holding it (atleast for fedex). This has always worked out well for me since the fedex location is about two minutes away from my work. Then I can just pick it up during my lunch break.
