Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

people who havent been charged yet, call your local apple store and see what they have /cancel your order if its in stock.

The apple store here in Austin Texas. still has verizon models all sizes... and almost every 3rd party store has had them.

If it comes UPS, that is an option for me, as the hub is two minutes away. However, Fedex is about an hour away, and home is only two minutes from work, so I'd just figure out a way to be there to pick it up.

Fortunately, Fedex delivers within 15 minutes of the same time every time, so I can time it correctly. But I'm always nervous I'll miss it. But it doesn't matter anyway, because I haven't been charged yet and have no shipping information, so I'm likely not getting it tomorrow.

As to the other post about Apple stores, closest one to me is about two and a half hours. Even if they had them, I wouldn't want to make the trip and find out they're out of them. I'll just wait for the Fedex guy. haha.
 
Got an email this morning with tracking info. Ordered from VZW on the 14th at 8am. It was scheduled to be delivered on friday but there was a "system error" that pushed delivery till tomorrow.
 
Card charged!

I ordered mine through my Verizon store around 1230 on 9/14 in Minneapolis. My card has finally been charged about 5 min ago! I entered my info on the Order Status page on verizon.com, and they do not list the Courier yet but says it is expected to ship on 9/26 😕 I thought it shipped when your card was charged? Either way, hoping to finally get mine this week! 😀

That's about the same time I ordered mine, so it's encouraging the West Coast is getting some attention. I keep checking everything and it's terribly depressing to see the status quo every time - no new information. 🙁

UPDATE: As of 1:10 pm, my Vz info page FINALLY changed ... Now says "Your order sent for processing" with blanks in "Expected ship date", "Tracking Number", and "Courier". It had been saying "Your order has been received and is being processed" with a ship date of 9/26. Yay!

UPDATE 2: Just checked my CC and THERE IT IS in the pendings. Double/triple YAY!

A quick question for clarification. When placing the order online with VZW, when you check your status, have you been using the preorder confirmation number OR the actual order number listed on the confirmation email?

preorder confirmation number. This is explained in the confirmation email:
Please use the Preorder Confirmation number when checking your VerizonWireless.com order status.

You can use your order number instead if you want, you just have to set the status page to 'over the phone'. It wont give you any useful information though

Yea, that's what I had been doing, but wanted to see if anyone was having luck doing anything differently.
 
ordered mine 9/14 @ 8 p.m. est - got a estimated ship date of 9/28 - should've just went to the store wouldve had my phone already smh

btw i tried going to verizon store to see if they can just cancel my preorder and give it to me on spot - no luck

nothings changed on the order status either
 
Sam's Club Availability

If you haven't picked up your phone yet, try Sam's Club. I went 9/21 6PM and they had several 16GB Black. I picked on up and upgraded my second line so I could keep my unlimited plan. Love the phone, battery life is so so.
 
Ordered mine on 9/14 11:30am eastern. Still no email (Card was charged), no way to track through numbers, said was expected to ship 9/21, had the same problem when I asked to cancel my preorder and buy the phone when they had it at the store...they said no.
 
Wouldn't cancel pre-order? WTF!

If they charged your cc and confirmed a shipping date then I could see not allowing you to cancel. I had an Oct 5 date and VZW was happy to sell me an ip5 and cancel my pre-order on Fri morning.

my card has been charged just now. as per the rep.. i may receive the phone between this wed-fri .... the order dept # is 866 338 7390 .. they are able to provid most accurate updates...
 
Pre-Ordering from Retail Location

So... I called and pre-ordered aniphone through a local Verizon store (not the website) and they said it would be here on 9/21. Never came so I went searching for one wherever I could find one. Found one at RadioShack and tried to upgrade. They said I had a pending order so I couldn't do it. Called Verizon CS to cancel and they wouldn't let me. They said since it had been shipped and is with FedEx, I'm not allowed to cancel the order. Tried everything I could and couldn't get anywhere. Anyone else run into this?

Says the phone should get to the store tomorrow so it's a little late trying to figure out a solution. Just curious.

By the way, thought this was funny. Found out the store I ordered it through isn't a "corporate" store. They only sell Verizon, everyone wears Verizon gear, everything looks verizon etc. Been going there for awhile. I looked on my tracking info and it says shipping to "Wireless Giant." Really?!

Just got my shipping notification emails from Verizon! My card was charged this AM, shipping through FedEx. Estimated delivery date of tomrorow, Tuesday 9/25. I ordered mine through the Verizon store in town around 1230 CST. 😀😀:apple:

What was your original ship date on your preorder confirmation?
