Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Just received my Tracking number! So I think I'm in the 9/28 Group now.

My status changed to your order has been sent for processing at around 1pm yesterday and then this morning when I woke up I received the email with the tracking information. IDK how it was for everyone else.
No.... I ordered on 18th. It was like Verizon was doing something weird with my order. It changed to your order was processing, then it went back to we received your order and it is in process. Uggh... Just want my dam phone already! Date stayed the same though and my CC was never charged.
Your talk and text would be shared with other lines on your account, but not your data plan - unless you sign up for the recently established "Shared Data" plan. Then all would be shared among your lines, smartphone or otherwise.
UPDATE! Just received my Shipping notification with tracking #!
It will ship via FEDEX! Finally some REAL PROGRESS! Hopefully it won't be to long now... Ps.. I ordered on 9/15 around noon with Estimated shipping on 10/05.Tracking # iv been given for FEDEX is not yet trackable/in their system.. WTF what gives??? Any ideas?

Update: Woke up to tracking numbers
I received two emails- one for each iPhone- they'll be delivered today...coming from West Chester, PA.
Guess my almost 17 years with Omnipoint/Voicestream/T-Mobile ends today.

I'm new around here and this will be my first iPhone and smart phone for that matter. I bought an iPod Touch 1 year ago and love it, but it is time for the flip phone to go away and combine the best of both worlds. I think I came to the right place!
I have a question hopefully some knowlegible person can answer.
I'm currently on a 900 minute Talk & Text plan. I used my upgrade discount towards this phone. I'm right around the time my 2 year contract expires. I'm going to join a friends Shared Data Plan. Should I not even turn the phone on until I take it to the Verizon store with my friend to switch plans to avoid problems?
For what it's worth, I pre-ordered online from Verizon on 9/17 @ 11:19AM EST, have a 10/5 shipping date, and my pre-order status has always been "We received your order and it is in process." Verizon dinged my CC for $1 then followed it up with a -$1 reversal and both charges cleared within 2 days. That's all of the activity I've seen so far and don't expect to really see action until next week. I live in Cincinnati, OH.
Do I have to be home at the time of delivery by FedEx to sign for the package or will they just drop it off at my doorstep? I live in a suburban neighborhood.

So, I got my tracking number this AM, looks like I'm scheduled for delivery tomorrow (9/28) before 3PM.
my 10/5 order just shipped! arriving tomorrow
So did mine! I ordered 9/17 with an expected date of 10/5. Fedex says it shipped late last night and will be delivered by 3pm CST today. Can't wait!!!

Ugh, I ordered 9/16 and I still have nothing!!
If your order hasnt shipped yet i would try to call your local stores (radio shack, target, walmart).
I had preordered on 9/21 for ship on 10/19. Of course i didnt really want to wait that long, so yesterday i called my local radio shack, they found one in the district and the store manager went and got it and held it for me until i could go in after work. I went online to the vzw website and canceled my preorder and my upgrade was available again in just a couple minutes.
I used the upgrade from my second line(dumbphone) went home reactivated the dumb phone and then activated the iphone on my line.
The girl at radioshack even forgot to add the $30 upgrade fee so it was cheaper than the vzw price in the end!

So I called the first Radio Shack by my house and mentioned above and the had 11 in stock. So I just canceled my preorder and drove the 2 minutes from my house and got it. Glad that adventure is over. Like others have said apparently stores have them in stock. just give them a call. Worked for me.

I don't have that option unfortunately. My dad is paying for it and wouldn't want to go through the hassle of doing that ):
