Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

I'm a little confused by this cc being charged to know when your iphone will ship. I ordered on the 22nd in the verizon store so that when it comes there, I will have to go pick it up. They told me it was a better option because sometimes they get the phones faster to the store than if I ordered at home. My ship date is oct 19th, but my card was charged in-store and the money was taken out immediately. This does not affect when it will ship though, right? On the tracking website it just says "We have received your order and it is in progress."

preordered through calling in to verizon on 9/19, cc charged yesterday, just got tracking number and confirmation this morning for FedEx - delivery by tomorrow! 16bg black. there's hope, guys!
 
I am about ready to cancel, I ordered online on 9/28. All I have got is, "We have received your order and it is being processed. You will receive an email notification when it has shipped."

It has a ship by date of 10/26 and I have not been charged. when I check the status it says it is being processed. How the heck did the people who ordered 2 days before and after me get a tracking number with a date of the 5th!?!?

I used to own a cellular store and I am not naive as to how most things work but I call bad planning on Apple and Verizon. They knew this phone was going to fly. Beyond that I am confused as to the people that ordered after me getting it sooner. :mad: :confused::confused:

This is normal I ordered 12 days before you and mine just arrives today.

It also depends on what model & color you ordered. Seems like the black/slate 16gb is one of the most popular - those have a bigger waiting list than say a 64gb white ip5.
 
still no updates

I ordered on 9/18 white 16g and with a deliver by date of 10/5

as of this morning the status hadnt changed, nor had i gotten any emails or calls from verizon (its shipping to the verizon store)

now when i try to check my status, the site says we are experiencing technical difficulties, check back later.

does this mean I wont be getting it tomorrow?

I have been following this for awhile and i haven't seen anyone order as late as you that receive their phone yet.
i ordered 9/22 and got mine but i haven't seen anyone later that get theirs.
plus it depends what model. the 32 & 64gigs are shipping faster.
16 is shipping right on time.

They are on a different site. Not on this one. I did order the 16gig. My whole issue is the month wait. Like I said Apple thinks everything they make is gold and everyone wants it. So they should have anticipated the demand :mad:

what model did you order? I ordered a 16 gb black on the same day and have an oct 19th ship date :(

I don't think so..I think they're just having problems in general. I have an oct 19 ship date and got that error message also.

I think you may be ok. I had that same issue on the site and then got an email in the evening saying it had shipped.

i order on 9/21 and nothing yet but ship date of 10/19 so i dont think you will get yours anytime soon, but there might be a possiblity you might get it probably a day or two days ahead. ehat model did you order?

Relax, relax.....first of all you are basing your info from what people are saying on the internet. That's your first problem. Secondly, NUMEROUS people who ordered a week before you have not received their devices. The order is based on supply and demand.......OBVIOUSLY, the 16 GB devices are the most popular and therefore are backordered the most. The 64 GB is not as popular and therefore orders are fulfilled quicker.
 
Ordered a 64GB black on 9/24 (Enterprise Order) ... no hint of movement yet.

Ordered wife a 32GB white on 9/20 (verizonwireless.com), it arrived yesterday...
 
Ordered a 16GB Black and a 32GB White on 21 Sept. I know the 16GB is holding things up. I have an estimated ship date of 19 Oct, but hoping that things move up a little. So tired of AT&T...

It's so amazing.

Best piece of tech I have ever gotten in my life.

Monster battery here or there's a glitch.. Been at 100% for like 20 minutes
