Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Had a white 64 ordered from apple on 10/3 with a ship date of nov 2-8 I saw Verizon had the ship by 10/26 yesterday I canceled my apple order and ordered from Verizon. My order now has a spot for tracking and courier but they are blank, it says ship by 10/26 still, my credit card has been authorized for the amount, but I don't know if that is charged or not until it posts. Does that mean I should expect a tracking number soon? That would be awesome :) should have ordered from Verizon from the start and not apple haha
 
Yes I would expect tracking info. If Verizon charged your card your tracking info will follow soon.

Thanks a lot! Yeah I'm pretty much in agreement with those who have said the 16gb is in extremely high demand. Between that and the manufacturing taking a little longer in order to avoid damages, the 16gb are shipping out right on time. You should start seeing activity very soon I would imagine.

Yeah I know, 16GB's take forever! I will keep my eyes on my email and cc to see if there's any updates. As I wait, I'll say some goodbyes to my 4S :p I'll miss it a little lol, but my dad will be getting it so it won't be too far from me

Lol I feel like everyone got their iPhones on Friday or something cause no one is posting that much on here anymore:(
 
Well it's more of Verizon doesn't do any shipping or updating over the weekend so it will kick back up Monday morning.

Yup I agree. Weekends are very slow because everyone knows there's no chance for activity. Monday will get busy again, and round and round we go until you and others get your phones. I am liking the heck out of this phone mainly for the screen size.

I must say that I'm pretty much used to the features and such after having the 4S and iOS 6. But, having the larger screen lets you enjoy iOS 6 and all features even more. I have mine in the Otterbox defender but this might sound weird but, I really like the charging feature lol. Another fav of mine is the speed on LTE, its faster than my wifi at home, and my wifi is very fast. I'm extremely happy with the iPhone 5.

I just hope the next time this whole ordering process is more friendly and far less hectic. :D
 
Not sure about the Verizon not doing any shipping on the weekend just got my tracking information :) packaged picked up in Memphis on 10/21 which is today Sunday which I'm pretty shocked that they are working on a Sunday but we are getting into the busy season
 
Also have a 4 definitely excited, I would of ordered day one but was a day one iphone 4 customer on Verizon so my upgrade wasn't until 10/10 which I was a little salty about but at least this will be all over soon :)
 
i ordered a 16gb black iphone 5 from verizon on 10/3 and still havent been charged on the credit card, verizon still says "we have received your order and its in process" seems like everyone else is having better luck than i am.

anyone else in the same situation?

Its because you got the 16gb its the most wanted one.

I ordered the same phone the same day. Verizon doesn't update the status on the weekends, so hopefully tomorrow we'll hear something. :) You have a 10/26 ship date, right?
 
I ordered a 64 GB white on the 18th shipped out on the 21st, should've went with Verizon from the start canceled an apple order since Verizon seems to be shipping much faster

Ordered the white 16g iPhone 5 on the 14th shipping said Nov 2 but after reading everyone's posts I am a bit nervous now cause my card hasn't been charged yet!! Hopefully I get it soon #
 
My card got charged yesterday. Any idea when I'll see a tracking number? Do they release them in batches at a specific time? 16GB, white, Verizon
