I really wouldn't be worried if your card hasn't been charged yet. According to people from previous launches who bought at AT&T/Verizon, our phones should already be in a warehouse somewhere in the US. I'm guessing if the people with tracking numbers looked it up, they could verify that?

This is what the verizon CSR person told me, that everything was OK and that my phone was waiting to be shipped out and that I'll get all my confirmation emails shortly.

Anyway, if they are doing Fedex 2 day, then I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get charged until Wednesday.

I have bought 2 iphones at lauch from Verizon. Both shipped 2 days b4 street date and 1 arrived a day early and the other on time.

Just found receipt for my purchase from the D772001 location, it states that its from Verizon Wireless out of Warren, NJ, with a receipt timestamp of 6:57 PM EST

Maybe Verizon did it tonight this year because they are hoping everyone is watching MNF and wouldn't notice these changes an flood their call centers! Haha
 
They have their act together. They can do nothing about the impatient fans of the iPhone! We all need to just relax and wait till the 21st. You would not want to get your order delayed because you had them change or mess somthing up (change billing info)

They don't when you can call them a dozen times and get a dozen different answers to the same questions. Simple questions like how to change a phone from one line to another, I get answers from "you can do it online", "call CS and we can do it", to "you have to go into a store" or "we will have to mail you a sim card".

Nobody seems to know what they are talking about and you would think everyone would at least be able to read from the same page.

Like I said "They can't handel the impatient iPhone fans". Did you ever call so much about any other product you bought?

And to answer your question... The easiest way I always done it was to activate the new phone on the line it comes on. Then I go online and reactivate the old phone back to the line.

I then activate the iPhone over whatever line I want.

VERY EASY!!
 
Haven't had any activity on either my card or the Verizon status page, but all the talk about credit cards being declined had me worried.

I ordered at 7AM ET, so I figure my order will be processed a little later than all you 3AM'ers. Still showing a delivery (or ships) date of 9/21 at the moment.

To be safe, I just called Amex and told them about the situation. The representative was very nice. She asked approximately how much the charge will be, flagged my account that a large purchase would be coming through, and said I would have, quote, "no problems!"

Fingers crossed.

The confirmation e-mail has 00:22 (PDT) in the timestamp. That sounds about right. It took me some time to find my AT&T account no (porting to VZW). My five-digit number starts with a 4, if you think that means anything. At this point, I am open to voodoo and witchcraft if it'll give me an estimate on when I'll receive the phone.

From the VZW myverizon page, up in the right hand corner, click documents/receipts. My equipment purchase receipt was there.
 
I ordered two at full price and my CC canceled the transaction and flagged it as fraud. Order says now 10/5....looks like ill be lining up

Mine did the same thing. I called in and fixed it with credit card company and verizon my card had been preauthorized and now my date has disappeared, hoping for activity now.

Same here, shipping to Ohio, N215501 "Your order has been sent for processing" even though my receipt is already in my account and i have been charged. No ship date though:(

Same here - what's the number for Verizon to call? can't find in their damn site...

Thanks guys, called the number posted here and found that the card declined due to zip code mismatch. Had them try with another card and it went thru. She assured me that it will still deliver by 9/21 (earlier the status showed 10/5), but now the status does not show any date. Hoping she did it right!

Like a lot of the above, used an AMEX and they declined the charge. I had to call in to AMEX first to approve it and then call the VZW Internet sales dept to have them re-run the card. The reason it was declined for me was because the billing address on the credit card was different than what the VZW billing address was.
 
I feel your pain...Chase screwed me too. VZW helped me over the phone and confirmed a 9/21 delivery for me...but now I don't have a delivery date listed on my order status page.

My shipping date went away now too and now I have a charge on my card...are we good to go?
 
Log into My Verizon and find the "My documents and receipts" and it should be listed. Mine just showed up and I got an email about account changes.

I'm not sure I have ever looked at that on my account. I logged in and took a look and my card was charged at 6:46 pm est. The location of my phone is 1456901.
 
Yep. D772101 here too. No charge yet, and still in process

Same with me.
When I was ordering, it wouldn't let me put my dorm address here in NYC, so I just gave up and put my home address in Connecticut and I'm just going to take the train home on Friday since I don't have classes that day anyways...
