i did 2 separate orders becasue after upgrading one phone, i realized you could add a line as well.

but when i added the line in my second order, it didnt let me select a family plan. should i call them to adjust this in the morning? not sure what to do :confused:

I'd wait a few days. There's no way you're getting through tomorrow morning.
 
Great, so what am I doing wrong?? I'm just afraid if I submit, I won't be able to argue and get a refund for the upgrade price, yet if I wait for Verizon's customer service to open up, they'll be out of them...

It even *says* when I sign in that my one line is eligible for upgrade at a discount, I select it, and it just shows the base $199.99 price...so frustrating!

same thing happened to me. I could only get it for $199.99...I went ahead. Probably try to argue it after the fact.
 
Well, I got done with my order around 2:56 and my ACE number is insanely high, like 2.3 million something. So I guess the ACE number doesnt always correlate to actual order number. I doubt Verizon had that many on preorder.
 
Ordered 1 phone from each website, now its a race

I upgraded my line on Apple's website, then decided I wanted to add a line so that my wife can have an iPhone as well.
Went over to Verizon, ordered hers and now its a race. Interesting to see if one gets here faster than the other.

Seems Verizon had their act together better than AT&T, atleast so far.
 
anyone else think the insurance is A LOT!! $10 a month and a $170/$200 deductible, There are cheaper plans out there
 
Did anyone else notice that they thankfully changed visual voice mail to $0.00/month, aka free. I was kind of upset before because they had it at $2.99/month and they said they were not changing the price, but I see they did. Hurray!
 
Apple site says it is down? how did you do it on their site?

No, Verizon's site kept going down for me. Starting at 2:50 EST it would never go past the "Start My Order" page.

I just ordered from Apple at 3:10 EST. Order completed and email received.
 
I got up at 2:45, and my comcast high speed internet was offline!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called comcast and they wouldn't answer only a machine saying technical difficulties in your area!!

using my moms crappy lg droid, i was finally able to order on apple.com, but it was agony, I was freaking out!

My order is pending due to a credit review. The account is in the wife's name and my name and credit card is on the order. I am an authorized user on this account. 10 years with Verizon and they need to check my credit to add a line and purchase a $300 phone? WTF Verizon?!?!? It'll be tomorrow before my credit is authorized so I am hope the phones I ordered are indeed held in the system for me. No customer service during the biggest device launch in Verizon history. Another solid decision.

I have a pending ordering confirmation number. Don't see ACE number any where. Looks like a woke up at 3 am for nothing.
 
I am a bit concerned because during the order process it never mentioned anything about family plan other than the main minutes package. My line on VZ is on a family plan with my wife. I had expected to be able to get an unlimited messaging plan for both of us for 30 bucks, but that wasn't an option.

I'm going to stop by and see my buddy who works for VZ and see if he can shed any light and make sure this didn't jack our account up.
 
trying to order one for my wife. Her line isn't eligible for a discounted upgrade, but we can transfer the upgrade from another line. However, the process you go through to transfer the upgrade doesn't list the iPhone as an option.

When I go through the iPhone link on the main page, there is no option to transfer an upgrade to the line we want to use.

Does anyone have a way around this issue? I suspect by the time we can get to the Verizon store tomorrow to get help with this (they have nobody answering the phones right now), the initial phones will be sold out.

GAH I hate this indecision!

So question: for everyone else, is it charging you all right now, or are you just putting payment information in and it will charge later? If it is charging right now, I'm guessing my chances of getting it fixed to charge the right price will be next to zero, but if they don't charge yet, hopefully I could get them to fix it once customer service opens before the charge gets submitted...
