Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

Verizon has put in a special request to FedEx / UPS to not allow a hold to be placed. The first delivery attempt is required. This was done on purpose so you can't pickup your package Saturday.
The FedEx rep directly told me they got a memo that the first delivery attempt must be attempted per Verizon's instructions and he can't override it.

Anybody else notice this next to last line of your invoice in confirmation email?
Does it NOT say fed ex st? OVERNIGHT 3 pm?

Is anyone else having their phone shipped via FedEx? I got my shipment confirmation email @ 6:48am this morning with tracking number and when I first looked at it, it said that the shipment had been initiated meaning that the shipment information had been sent to FedEx by Verizon Wireless. I've been checking throughout the day and the status as been the same. It is now 6:15pm EST and my tracking page still says shipment initiated. Anyone else have this?
Yeah, I think it did for everyone from West Chester, still no delivery date though lol...but now that it says shipped on the 4th, its more obvious its not coming today.
Mine has also finally updated at least theres more info now and the shipped by has changed to UPS Next Day Saver. To bad Sat delivery wasnt an option Oh well mondays not that bad makes me want monday to come faster.
So, just got my email shipment confirmation. At the same time the fedex page updated to "picked up." So those who haven't gotten an email yet I am thinking means their phone has not been picked up by fedex yet.
If anyone is curious, I ordered just before 2am CT time and got my confirmation email a few minutes later. OH well. Back to the couch!

Someone on the Verizon facebook page claims to have received his, which I call BS. There's also posts claiming that it can't be activated until Thursday, which I also call BS.
Get this: I called UPS and the guy said they are doing what they can to get it out but aren't making a commitment yet. Then he proceeded to ask if the shipment was medicine or an organ transplant because the package was ordered to be kept in "controlled climate and special conditions." I was like, no...it's an iPhone...
He did say to call Verizon, tell them you're leaving the country tomorrow evening and you NEED to pick it up or else it will get sent back to them.

Next day saver does not account for Sat delivery just next buissness day. So its not breach of contract , the site showing on truck for delivery now that is weird. I wonder if they had it on the truck and then removed it.
Food for thought if we cant activate the phone today maybe VZW has asked the shipments to be held up.

Nope...I ordered at 3:11AM on Apple's website (32GB, no accessories), and my status is still "Prepared for Shipment". I have lost all faith in humanity at the present moment...

Now that it says Monday - On with Verizon CSR, trying to get them to place it for pickup. Very nice girl (luck of the draw)
I hear ya. Mine on verizon's website has said "shipped" since yesterday morning, yet I never received an email and when I finally got through with a reference number about an hour ago, I found out it still hasn't shipped. -still- hasn't. bahhhhhh.
