that's rotten, really ): I have work on monday, but it's only from 11-2 (crappy shift, I know). however, even though it says only an indirect signature is required, I'm extremely hesitant to just leave a note saying to leave it at the door.. seriously, that's a few thousand dollars worth of awesome right there. I don't want it to freeze or get stolen D:

Torn right now. and also upset because it hasn't even shipped yet, so it could very well not get here til tuesday; in which case I will be a very very very unhappy camper, since I was right there with all of the first people ordering it.

they won't leave it anyway even if there is a note because they need some signature to send in. all in all i blame UPS, origin scan at 430pm but doesn't depart until 1130am thats unreal, next day air means well next day air
 
Okay...this is kinda cool. I just spoke to VZW and spoke with a very helpful rep and here's a couple of things she shard with me.

1. my phone will be here Monday
2. the phones are coming preactivated (if it's a main line that was upgraded)

She was very open with how the process works. They obviously have a lot of phones to turn on. She said the phones ship from the warehouse, to the activation center, and then on their way. She even told me it only takes a second to activate it (scan it) and then that's when you get you confirmation of shipment.

Makes sense to me now. However, she was just a rep but seemed very nice and knowledgeable.
 
How many others are still waiting for their order status to change from "We received your order and it is in process." to shipped?

I ordered at 2:55 a.m. but then canceled the order due to a credit card issue and reordered it at 2:30 p.m.

When I call 611 the automated system says that the order with refernce number 0000 was cancelled. Both my old and new order had reference numbers ending in 0000. I called a rep and she said the second order looked ok.

But now it's been almost 30 hours since the secodn order and no change in status or any pending charge on my cc.

Just wondering if many others are still waiting for shipmment confirmation (not a tracking order but the email or status just saying it's shipped)?

Don't fret. I ordered mine at 2:56am and received shipping info an hour ago.
 
Has anyone gotten authorization to pick up the package at the distribution hub or done anything like that before? Are they even open on Saturdays?

errr... Maybe she was helpful, but accurate? How could they activate them before you get it? My other phone is still working, you can't have two activated phones on the same line. Unless she was talking only about people that bought it on a new line.

Thats an excellent point. This was purchased on my main line and it's still working. hmmmm...damn you Verizon! LMAO!

The rep probably mis-communicated what was meant by "activate", she probably meant that your order was brought up, then the random iPhone box they picked to be your iPhone is scanned and entered into the system. Not an actual activation of phone service.

no actually she was right. Verizon phones come pre-activated so that all you need to do is dial *228 for the activation process to complete. She said pre-activated, not activated. Activating the phone will also lock you into the contract you signed up for.

That's also why you cannot activate the phone onto a different line until it has been activated on the line it was purchased for first.
 
Finally..got my shipped email from Verizon and tracking number from FedEx. It says Monday even though nothing has really happened all day. It's perfect since my Wrapsol is also scheduled to be delivered on Monday too..

Now all this makes sense. It's going to give you the page error message until they pre-activate it and you won't get the shipping email until they do this everyone. Having said that she did say I would have mine on Monday because it only takes them a second to scan it.

If you have 2 CDMA iphones, say your wife and one for yourself, and your wife has the hotspot included acct, but not you. If that's the case, as long as she is with you, does that mean you can make calls and use data at the same time (using her phone as wifi)?

or I can have them send it to my neighbor. I would just feel awful asking her to look after it since we never talk to her.

Yeah. Or if you have three phones... get this... you can call three different people, all at the same time! :p Kidding with you. Of course that should work.
 
My 8:00 AM order only just got shipped, so assuming they're doing it in order of order placement, you've got a while to wait still. Sowwwy :D

They clearly aren't doing it in order of order placement, because my 2:02am order has not shipped yet. :confused:
 
I finally received a shipping conformation email! It is suppose to be here by 3 p.m on Monday. But i have something that may be potentially problematic. We have a family share plan with 3 lines. I got an email showing each phone and under "Your Order Information" on two of them it shows the same wireless number. Whats even more upsetting is that it is my number that isnt attached to one of the phones. Do you think this will be a problem?
 
Is it sad that I know full well that mine hasn't been shipped, yet I'm still intrigued reading everyone else's updates? I get almost excited seeing shipping updates that say anything like "In transit" haha.

This is the sad page I've been staring at for a while.
