does anyone here know the cut-off time for fedex for overnight shipping? I heard UPS was 8pm, but I don't know about fedex. it's beginning to really worry me that my package won't ship in time tonight. it still says anticipated ship date 2/4/11, and expected delivery 2/7/11 before 3pm.

Is it sad that I know full well that mine hasn't been shipped, yet I'm still intrigued reading everyone else's updates? I get almost excited seeing shipping updates that say anything like "In transit" haha.
This is the sad page I've been staring at for a while.
I know exactly how you feel, I'm stuck yet I feel excited and hopeful at the mention of anyone else's step forward. Then I realise I'm feeling really excited, wonder what exactly for, and realise that it doesn't move me any closer, just them xD
Honestly, I don't know, but I don't think so. You should be able to fix it when activitating; it's not like it's going to activate two phones on the same line. Hopefully it was just a misprint. Worst case scenario, you might have to go to verizon to figure it out; but I'd wait and see what they have you do to activate it and see if there's a problem. I hope there isn't!
I bought my iPhone on my mom's line's upgrade because my line wasn't eligible. Does this mean the phone will have to be activated on her line first and then onto mine?
I'm right here with you guys...I just can't imagine Apple letting Verizon get the upper hand on this and shipping before they do.
Wait i have a question. If i have 2 lines on my verizon account and i ordered an iphone with the upgrade from the first line can i activate it for the second line if the second line can get an upgrade.
Thats what i was hoping to hear. I read some posts saying that they are shipping them pre-activated in some sort of way..naturally that made me a little nervous about it
erm.. did you talk to anyone from verizon who said you could do that? I've never, ever heard of that working. then again, I've never heard of anyone trying it. as far as I know, you cannot upgrade your phone at promotional pricing until your time comes, on your line. I think your mom is the only person who'll be able to use the iPhone.
I could be wrong, I'm not really sure, it just doesn't sound right.
Mine has shipped, out of California, scheduled to be delivered by UPS by 10:30am Monday. We will see.

you can. its call an "alternate upgrade" = using someone's elses promotional upgrade for your line. just call verizon when you activate and they will handle it. i called multiple times before pre-ordering to confirm this.
Does your FedEx tracking page still say shipment initiated?
EDIT: Yes, talked to a few VZW reps before I pre-ordered and they said I could use my mom's upgrade for my account. Although they told me I should have been able to transfer upgrades in the pre-order page (similar to the way it works in my verizon) but the pre-order page didn't give me this option so I opted just to purchase the phone on her line and activate it on my line when it came. My main concern is the data plan being activated on her line. She has a phone that doesn't need a data plan and we don't need an extra $29.99 on our plan for no reason.

Yeah, I don't think so. Like, we ordered three phones for all three lines, but I don't think they're designated to be each phone line or whatever. Like, when we receive them, I don't have to activate a specific one, I can just choose. I think. Even if they -are- designated, I'm sure you won't have any problem, like I said. When you ordered them, you hit each line, right? It's not like it would've let you buy two phones on the same line, I remember it giving you a list of your lines and asking to check which ones you wanted to upgrade.
UPS from West Chester, PA update!
My status just changed to show a Monday delivery. Earlier it just said the origin scan yesterday and the departure scan at 11:30am today. Now it shows an "order processed" scan at 5:56pm today! Not sure how it had a departure scan this morning before it was "ready for UPS". I also did not have any delivery or detail information until this most recent update. The parts circled in red are the newest additions. Obviously, something weird is going on with the shipments, I think maybe what the earlier poster said about the phones going to another location to be "pre-activated" might be right. But like I said before, no phones 'til Monday, enjoy your weekend. Oh, and as far as picking it up early goes I know UPS doesn't allow this until one delivery attempt has been made.

I've did this when I got my Droid. Bought it online with my dad's line that was eligible, activated it on his line, immediately called Verizon and switched the two devices. No problem at all!
i never got a shipping confirmation but i used the trick were u use the location code and order number and fed ex has info on my package but only says

i never got a shipping confirmation but i used the trick were u use the location code and order number and fed ex has info on my package but only says

mine says the same thing but 10:32 AM. unfortunately, this means it hasn't actually been picked up by fedex or shipped, so even though it says anticipated ship date I'm worried that it won't actually ship in time to be received on monday D:
For non-iPhone phones, you could go online when you get the phone to MyVerizon, and connect the new phone to any line you want. I'm assuming it's the same for the iPhone, except perhaps through iTunes?

yes. Here's the steps you'll need to take.
1) activate the iphone on your mom's line by dialing *228
2) go to verizonwireless.com, log into myverizon, click activate device and re-enter your mom's old phone's ESN number to her line.
3) dial *228 on her old phone.
4) do the same thing linking the iphone to your line
Am I the only one who ordered an iPhone at retail price since I'm not eligible for an upgrade? It seems like almost everyone upgraded. My tiny worry is that since I signed into Apple as the account owner's line, paid full retail price, will I HAVE to use it on that line? I can't use it on mine? Since I'm not upgrading I should be able to activate it on any line on my account right?

thats what i was thinking that will suck and i was up at 2:50 am ordering so i really hope its here monday
I am worried that since I missed out yesterday that I am going to REALLY miss out ordering on the 9th. I read that it broke all pervious sales records for Verizon pre-orders...what will it be like when non-Verizon customers can order next week? I am definitely going to be on checking to order BEFORE 3 am seeing as how a lot of you ordered yesterday before 3 am.
Mine says shipping info was received 4:27am this morning and it still says initiated! I hope it has actually been picked up by fedex and its just a delay in their updating system.
