thats what i was thinking that will suck and i was up at 2:50 am ordering so i really hope its here monday:rolleyes::rolleyes:

exact same situation. I started the order at 1:50, submitted it at 2:02. About noon YESTERDAY it said it had shipped (freaking misleading). Never got an email saying it had shipped or a tracking number. Around 4pm, I finally tracked it with a reference number, still no official email or anything, and it's just stuck there waiting to be picked up as it has been since 10:30 this morning. My sincere hope is that is -has- been picked up, but it just hasn't been updated on the page. Don't origin scans show up really quickly, though? Ugh, I hope for this one time not, and that it's somewhere right now on it's way. And hopefully so is/are your/s. :D
 
I am worried that since I missed out yesterday that I am going to REALLY miss out ordering on the 9th. I read that it broke all pervious sales records for Verizon pre-orders...what will it be like when non-Verizon customers can order next week? I am definitely going to be on checking to order BEFORE 3 am seeing as how a lot of you ordered yesterday before 3 am.

Does your FedEx tracking page still say shipment initiated?

EDIT: Yes, talked to a few VZW reps before I pre-ordered and they said I could use my mom's upgrade for my account. Although they told me I should have been able to transfer upgrades in the pre-order page (similar to the way it works in my verizon) but the pre-order page didn't give me this option so I opted just to purchase the phone on her line and activate it on my line when it came. My main concern is the data plan being activated on her line. She has a phone that doesn't need a data plan and we don't need an extra $29.99 on our plan for no reason.

It wouldn't matter if the $29.99 data plan got activated on her line. You could remove it the next day. Data is a feature that can be changed any time. If you have a 3G smartphone it is a required feature of course. It's the line that's under contract, not any features of the line.

I am not eligible for upgrade but there was no way I was paying $750 for a phone. I added a line to get the 32 GB iPhone at $300. I am going to activate the day I get it and then downgrade it to an old non data phone later that day. That way I can remove the $29.99 data feature from that line and pay $9.99 monthly for 24 months. That way I get the iPhone 32GB for $540 instead of $750. My current phone is worth about $300 so I will recoup all of the money it will cost for the third line plus a little extra.

Sure this is a little work but I have no idea why someone would pay retail when this is simple and will only take a couple hours at most to sort out. The data plan is not part of the contract unless you have a smart phone on the line where it requires the data feature.

I think it would help if we all appended any time updates with a time zone (EST, PST, etc.) -- trying to figure out people's time in reference to myself on west coast time is making my head hurt.

that is sooooooo intelligent. I would never have thought of that. I hope they don't eventually catch on and prevent you from doing that, but what could they do to stop you?

someone plz respond to my question. If a have 2 lines on verizon and both are eligible for an upgrade but the first line had 100 credit and i ordered the iphone on the first line can i activate the iphone to the 2 line

Mine was down for over 24 hours. As soon as FedEx came and picked up the phone and began transporting I received an email, the FedEx tracking info on their website updated, and the Verizon order status magically began to work again.

Do you have your ace (order) number, location number, and zip code? Post them and I could look it up for you. I'm in the same situation; no email, but it's "processed and shipped"; but I looked up the reference number and got a page on fedex. :)
 
Am I the only one who ordered an iPhone at retail price since I'm not eligible for an upgrade? It seems like almost everyone upgraded. My tiny worry is that since I signed into Apple as the account owner's line, paid full retail price, will I HAVE to use it on that line? I can't use it on mine? Since I'm not upgrading I should be able to activate it on any line on my account right?

Anyone else in this type of situation? (aka: Is anyone dumb enough to pay full retail for an iPhone 4 like I was haha)

As long as there is a line of service on one of each of the lines, Verizon doesn't care which phones are where.
 
Oh...and I must say... thanks to everyone here for all the mental support and helping us who are getting late emails stay somewhat sane. hahaha. I'd also like to apologize to my email and web refresh buttons. I was very bad to you! HA!

1. Do you have to call/visit Verizon to get that feature removed or can you do it online?

2. That was a smart plan you had. I totally agree with you; there was no way in heck I was gonna shell out $650 for a phone. I figured I'll go through a little trouble after I'm holding it in my hands to use it on my number

when you got your order confirmation email, it should have told you three things under "Order Details": Order Location, Order Number, and Application Number. Tell me the first two, and your billing zip code, and I can look it up on FedEx's website for you. :cool:
 
Business Portal Orders

I've seen a few people reference business orders but just checking to see if anyone else has any info about business orders?? I placed my order through our business account for 3 phones at 3:07am eastern yesterday and all i got was a order confirmation with an order number like: MBxxxxxxxx. I've called the business people and they have no clue.. My question is why the heck is everyone elses orders shipping that placed theirs through the regular portal at the same time and the business ones are not?!
