Hi, I have been watching this thread since it was started. I ordered my iPhone at about 8:40 AM EST on Thursday. I have only gotten an automatic order confirmation since, NO shipping email, no NOTHING. and the "check your order status" page has been down for about 14 hours now. I have emailed Verizon but gotten no response. I have tried the tracking numbers generator but it didn't work.

If it was that simple, it would be great, but there's a lot of people having problems (seen the china one? sooo glad I'm not in that group) and this is where they're going to try and get them solved. you don't need to read the forum if you don't want to. I agree there are a lot of stupid posts, but that doesn't mean there is no point to some of them.

Complete lies. Those are the same exact pictures of the iPhone box from the PC world unboxing slideshow. Yet another person try to make us all feel bad. Go waste your time somewhere else.
 
NDA Saver doesn't do Saturday residential !!!

For businesses...residential says up to end of the day...so it could be 7pm. I know around my area, UPS trucks pass by in the evening...

You guys need to accept Monday because the saver service doesn't do Saturday delivery unless the shipper pays extra, which Verizon didn't. Mine said the ame thing and late last night UPS updated the tracking page to a Monday delivery.
 
Haha oh now that's just mean. Don't give them a heart attack. It will show up when it has tracking information. If you haven't gotten a tracking email yet, the verizon tracker won't work.

Not quite true - you can track by reference number. If the shipping information has been sent, it should show up. It took until yesterday around 4pm CST for mine to show up, and still no shipping confirmation email until it was actually -picked up- around 8pm CST.

That's only because the CSR doesn't want to spend anytime on the phone with carrier (UPS/FedEx) to make this request.

Just make 'em do it.

That's what I did so that I can go pick it up from UPS Monday morning. I already have confirmation about my Delivery Intercept.

Yeah you paid for it. Its your's they cant keep from giving it to you when you want it. They may argue that verizon wont let them or this and that but if you make a big enough fuss and explain you have to pick it up for some reason they will do that for you.
 
Has anyone who lives in the NYC areas status changed from "Picked up" to 'In Transit"?

Mine has been stuck at "Picked up" from 6:00 AM this morning, and for some reason, I don't think it takes 6 hours to pick up an item.

I was in the same Location Code as you, and they seem to have had problems getting our tracking numbers out. I was checking my email and vzw status religiously all day yesterday. I didn't actually get my shipping information until about 7PM in the evening. Turns out my iPhones had been moving with all the other ones, but they'd just not gotten my shipping info out.

I recommend calling them to make sure they did not cancel it, which they would do if the order was not placed in the primary account holder's name (this was a problem for some people).

If you are okay on that front, just be patient; it will get to you soon enough.

EDIT: I should also add that the order tracking on the vzw website was down for me all of yesterday as well. Heck, it still doesn't work (even though I've gotten my tracking number and the phone is no more than 15 minutes away from my house).

Wondering whether your VZW iPhone order has been processed?

Go to your VZW account online, click upgrade now.

If your screen shows:

You order has been received and processed. You may not have received your shipping confirmation email and may be unable to track your order using the reference number generator right now, but an ESN has been assigned to your order, which means your order has been processed.

If you click on Activate a phone, you may receive an error, that's good. It means your device is being processed.

For others, who click activate a device, you should receive something like this:

Which, means your order has already been completed and device is in route to you.

For those with FedEx tracking numbers, suffering from OCD because your device hasn't moved from the Memphis hub, resulting in tracking info that looks like this:

Understand FedEx makes money from shipping on condensing. Meaning, by it being the weekend, they will wait for all the packages that are to be sent via overnight before sending a flight to your sorting facility. Your device will arrive on the 7th. It will leave the FedEx location in Memphis either today or tomorrow for Monday delivery.

The same is true for UPS deliveries that were purchased from Verizon. UPS deliveries purchased from Apple are slated to arrive 2/8.

Remember, ON OR BEFORE 2/10.

As for those wondering why the authorization fell off from their debit card. Your bank has a policy that authorizations can only be held 1 to 5 days, depending on your bank. That doesn't mean your order was canceled. It will reappear once VZW submits the final charge. Credit cards, on the other hand, may have holds as long as 30 days.

No FedEx nor UPS will deliver your device today, no you will not be allowed to pick it up, no VZW will not process a delivery intercept or hold at the hub for your today.

I think I covered most of the things in this thread so far.
 
Well this is ********. I was able to get FedEx to hold my package at the local hub for pickup, TO BAD ITS STUCK IN MEMPHIS STILL.

yeah the same with me, theyre supposed to hold it but still in memphis. i called thismorning and told them i was supposed to be able to pick it up today and they told me the hub in my area will call me when it arrives...

Mine looks the same just different times but at the very top it now shows 'IN TRANSIT" so I am sure it is headed this way

Call VZW and have them request a Delivery Intercept and then go pick it up!

just tried, VZW rep refused to do the intercept and said I could take try to take it up with UPS. Wouldn't give me reason other than they "just can't". UPS local facility only gives the 1800 #, I found a local #, but it jus kept ringing and ringing. Bah.
