Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

If only Verizon started selling the phone on Wednesday instead of Thursday. Many of us would be higher than a Kite right now. 
You'd have to talk with UPS about how exactly their shipping system works. I'm sure its designed to be most efficient for them. All that really matters is they get it to your door on Monday, right? They could fly it around the world three times for all you care.
I'm having it shipped with FedEx, and it says an indirect signature is required. So, if I wanted to have it set up so that if it gets here while I'm at work (11-2), they'll go over and give it to my neighbor and she can sign for it and keep it for me, how would I go about doing that?
I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing yet, but it'd help a lot to know for sure how it works.

Actually, in the past, I have simply left a note on my door telling the driver to have my next door neighbor sign for the packageMine sat in Memphis and then Louisville for a LONG time. Then last night between 4 and 8am it went to Albany, GA, then to New Orleans, which is an hour from me. I'm in Baton Rouge and really wish I could just hop down to New Orleans and get it! I think they're starting to move them out of Louisville today.
I received email from Verizon that my iphone has shipped and providing the Fed Ex tracking information and the Fed Ex tracking says:

Yeah, I was just really making an observation on that. Like I said before as long as that tracking page says on schedule for delivery I'm happy
I live in Greensboro, and my UPS package left Memphis, but went to Louisville, KY- been stuck at that hub for about 24 hours now (at least according to tracking). While I'm still fairly confident that we'll both get our phones on Monday, just don't be surprised if your phone doesn't go Memphis->Charlotte.
I live in X, TN. Once my iPhone gets to the nearest Fedex location in Y, TN (about 20 minutes from X), anyone think I'll be able to drive to Y and pick it up? Possibly today?
Now you get to go pick it up Monday instead since you told them not to delivery it. The bright side is that you might still get it a couple hours earlier than delivery if it's really that critical.
Just got my info updated!!! i live in phoenix az and it says its arrived at destination sorting facility i called fed ex to see if i can go pick it up and the rep said its not going to be available for pick up this weekend.. i dont know whats the big deal to pick it up today ill pay extra if i have to this sucks
While you're waiting to get your iPhone, try practicing your grammar. That run-on sentence is ridiculous.
Not that I know a whole lot about the workings of Verizon or Apple...but it seems to be a coordinated effort to prevent anybody from getting their iPhone before at least Monday.
My tracking # just tells me it is "picked up" but my friends says it is in transit..

That's exactly what it is. It would be funny if all who are trying to pick them up from FedEx or UPS before Monday would not be able to register them. All that hassle for nothing.
It's clear that it was all coordinated for a Monday release...so sit back, relax, enjoy the Super Bowl. We will get our phones on Monday. If we were patient enough to wait for the iPhone for 4 years, I think we can handle a few more hours.

Alright I have been reading this thread for the past 2 days, and sitting waiting patiently. I still do not have any tracking information.
I have a confirmation email. And Debit account is pending.
I ordered 7:30 pm, I know I am a late one, and it is fine if I get mine way later than all of yall that ordered on time. But was wondering if anyone has any tips on getting info.
The Check My Order Status page has been down for me since like 4 pm yesterday!
EDIT: We ordered 2 16 gb phones, one for my husband and one for me

Not unusual. I've had a package be shuffled back and forth if it wasn't "due to be delivered" yet. Like I said...I think it was designed that nobody get their phones before Monday.

What's your order number, location code and your ZIP. You can generate one what way.
Then search FedEx and UPS for a reference number.
Thats strange i can go on verizon right now and check my order status. It must be down at your location cuz mine is good
