Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

All phone orders placed on Verizon.com get free overnight shipping. So when the phone actually ships (this is what the whole debate is about), it will arrive next day by 3pm.
This is Verizon's standard overnight service which is that anything shipped before 3pm will arrive the next day. I have had several BB Tour replacements shipped this way, and hope that my iPhone will come the same way!
They must have cut it off for today....I have been checking since 2pm and now it's 4pm and no status change....Ace 2339 and it is STILL in process
have faith winty, the system is just really bogged down for them! don't give up hope! ...even though i'm starting to think we aren't getting them until 2/10 or 2/11. No one has been able to produce a screen cap of any orders with a tracking number.
I called VZW customer service. Spoke to a "Paul".
He told me that if your status says "Shipped" then you are guaranteed a phone from the pre-order inventory.
He went on to say that they will physically ship the phones on the 9th.
He also stated that you will received email with your tracking information as well.
My order is 1188. Waited almost four years for this!

NE2 is not the same as eligible for an upgrade. I have three lines that are eligible for upgrades, but none of them have NE2. NE2 gives you a $50 credit I think, eligible for an upgrade lets you get the new contract subsidized price.

So yesterday afternoon, a Verizon rep walked me through how to use my My Verizon account to upgrade my phone to the iPhone; the key was that my phone line was not eligible for an upgrade, but I'm on a family plan and my dad's line was eligible. It's a standard procedure to simply switch upgrade eligibility from one line to the other. Knowing what to do, I went through this process (which I had rehearsed) a little before 3 am, going into my account and switching the upgrade from my dad's phone to mine, selecting the 32 gig iPhone.....but instead of listing the cost of the phone as $299, there was a glitch in the website, and though I tried it another half dozen times, it still charged me $749, the full retail price! Obviously frustrated (because I was sure I had followed the process correctly), I asked several Verizon reps today if something could be done, but they're all telling me that I should just cancel my order and try again. I shouldn't have to do that!! I followed exactly the correct procedure right before three am, and now the verizon site is down, so I can't even go into my My Verizon account and try again. I cry injustice!!!! I envy everyone else who's had a smooth ordering process.....any ideas on what can be done? I really don't want to cancel my order and receive the phone long after every once else....since Verizon's system had a problem, they should be more concerned about helping the customer. So far, they've pretty much only politely said "that sucks".

my order number was 384. it says shipped now. no tracking number. i had an AT&T iphone 4 to hold me over. i had both Verizon and AT&T for 2 Years now. At least i can go back to one phone. can't wait!
yeah! I was giving up and then checked my status and noticed the EXPECTED SHIP DATE is now listed as 2/3/11. For most people it was 2/10/11, then when it goes to shipped status, the expected date disappears.
My date disappeared too, then it updated and shows 2/3/11. Hopefully that is hopeful for all! If I get tracking info, I will post that immediately.

Ordered mine through apple and it still has not hit my CC. Like many others, it says prepared to ship.
There are several previous posts with screen caps of people who have been billed already. Maybe the system is slowly getting through all the orders.
Well I talked to a Verizon Wireless Rep. and they said that the iPhone WONT go ANYWHERE till the 10th!!! This made me Mad!!!
I really wouldn't believe any specific things that the reps are telling anyone right now. There is such an incredible amount of misinformation that gets passed on by them that I think it's better to just wait and see what happens then try to find answers from them.

It's a really easy mistake to make. And you only make it once.
I sold my original iPad over six weeks ago and I'm so glad I did. I got way more money that I could have ever imagined. A long time Apple guy, I'm used to good resale, but this was outstanding.
All because I had previously made the same mistake over timing that you did....
