My Verizon Order Experience... Smooth and Easy!
- I ordered the moment they went online just before 3AM.
- Immediately received the confirmation email.
- This morning my status changed to shipped, but no tracking number.
- Just got my tracking number now.
- Checked tracking online and it says delivers Fri 4th by 4PM
- Called into track it and the FedEx rep confirmed.
Oh, and in case you're wondering my initial order number was 16.
Looks like I'm going to have both my Verizon iPhone4 and AT&T iPhone 4 to compare. Just what I was hoping to accomplish. First hand experience.

I'm optimistic, but providing fabricated information to eager, well-meaning people isn't so humorous.
If you ordered "the moment they went online just before 3AM," your order # won't be 16 because the preorder was initiated well over 10 minutes before 3AM EST. I ordered at 2:52AM and my order # was 427.
Orders are processed one-by-one but tracking information would be done by batches/shipments, not one-by-one. Meaning the entire shipment would be handled at once, not per-item for each shipment.
If one person gets a tracking #, hundreds of others would get tracking #s as well.
I wouldn't imagine that Verizon would hold the shipments until the 10th. If I were to take a guess, Verizon reps are asked to let the customers know that they should be receiving it the 10th to be on the safe side. Better safe than sorry.
Tracking information will also be delayed. If anyone has ever tracked packages, they are never updated the moment they are received. At times, it can be several hours after your item is delivered before your "In Transit/Out for Delivery is updated to "Delivered."
I'm sure with patience and due time, tracking information will be provided
