I'm taking a wild guess that they are in the US as well. There has been a massive build-up to this day, and I think (hope actually) that Verizon will reward those loyal customers who have been with them for a long time (such as myself since 2005) with the iPhone well in advance of those persons who don't have Verizon Wireless accounts.

Oddly enough, Verizon and Apple will be taking orders on the 9th, with an in store pickup of the device on the 10th for all other customers. Now maybe I've taken entirely too many shots to the head from MMA matches but it seems to me that if I wasn't going to receive my phone early, then what was the sense of a pre-order if I can't get my phone sooner than the masses? Getting my phone shipped to me on the 10th (with a probable arrival date of the 11th) because I pre-ordered would put me getting my phone behind people that weren't currently Verizon Wireless customers. That, in my scrambled brains, makes no sense to me.

Even if we don't get our phones until the 10th, we're still guaranteed to get one. No one knows for sure what the stock level is and people may try to order online on the 10th or wait in line for who knows how long, only to end up empty handed.

My ace number was 1173927. Order Location is 1456901. On my credit card it said the location was in Atlanta GA. Im guessing my order will come from Atlanta, GA? since I live just 3 hrs away. O and it also said shipped but no tracking info

When i talked to a Verizon rep, he told me that they had a large supply of iPhones already in warehouses around the US. He couldn't tell me exactally how many but said his boss told him "15 times" more iPhones in the warehouses than the Droid X had when it launched. Also made it clear that he suspects that they would go out today and be on doorsteps the following few days

I was told by the local Verizon corporate store here in my town that they will open at 7am on the 10th and will have a limited number of iPhones available to customers. I'm wondering how many they will actually have on hand for sale to the public and how many have been spoken for by their employees for themselves and "friends".

What would suck is to be the 3rd person in line at a store at 7am, get into the store, ask for an iphone, be told that they just sold the last ones to the two people ahead of you, and see the employees hiding the boxes and talking on iPhones themselves.

That scenario would make me want to donkey punch someone really hard.

Ordered mine online through Apple at 2:06central ... "prepared for shipment" is my status :D

Mine too. I certainly hope that it changes to shipped soon. I would hate if we get punished for ordering directly from Apple and receive our phones later than those who ordered through Verizon.

Shipped

My number was #1922. Says my order has been shipped. No shipping info either. Im sure we will have the phone in a couple of days.

I would agree that this would be really frustrating, however I have worked in retail in the past and typically there are no employee holds allowed right after a product launch. I don't know if apple or verizon have a policy like this but I would suspect that they have taken steps to ensure there are plenty of iPhones available on launch day.

Is it possible to sell a million online from 10 til 3 AM to a little after 3 when I ordered mine? My order # is 7 digits, whereas the guys below have very low #s Of course my order # is from verizon. Did you get your # from Apple or verizon?

I ordered mine from Verizon. My number was #1922. Logged in about 3:05am last night. I believe that they are processing them in order. Like first come first serve.

My ACE order number is 3735 and mine still says: We received your order and it is in process.

I tried to order a few minutes before 3 am and kept getting errors. I finally got my order through around 3:15. Then I got THREE confirmation emails from Verizon, 3:20, 3:22 and 4:02 with THREE different order numbers. I guess maybe when it was giving me errors it was really going through? I didn't want to chance it. I couldn't figure out how to cancel two orders so I called Verizon and while I was waiting on hold I figured it out...and the lady at Verizon asked ME how to cancel an order! LOL I told her how...

I've had two Blackberry's and I am heartily sick of Blackberry! I converted to Mac in September with a MBP and haven't looked back since...now to get my iPhone...

I have Ace# 3736 and it now says it has been shipped. Also, I talked to a VZW rep the other day and they said that customers will be able to activate their new iPhones themselves through iTunes.

Placed my order at 2:52 am ET. Number 388. Incredible. They're labeled as shipped. Can't wait to receive. Hopefully it truly is OVERNIGHT.
