Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

I upgraded a line (new 2 Year) for a friend and this plan showed up...
Line 1 (mtn XXXXXXXXXX) Calling Plan:
NATIONWIDE TALK & TEXT 900 $79.99 0110 $79.99
Would they be able to call Verizon and tell them to switch to a better plan? That plan is such a rip off considering you can get unlimited minutes for 10 bucks cheaper! haha

Does anyone know why Verizon isn't selling the Apple bumbers?
It sucks that you can't get the VZW employee discount on apple products yet either. My discount comes up on all products but those made by apple. I guess its a price you pay to have the iphone on verizon!

I ordered at 2:50 am eastern, and my order number was 689,000+. So I doubt the ACE order number has any meaning. Also mined has shipped as well.
Thanks. Just skimmed through a few of the posts there, and it looks like the guy hasn't posted any real evidence of the shipping confirmation email he supposedly received. Would love it if it were true, though!
What does verizon sell that is made by Apple besides the iPhone and iPad?
I too have a 25% discount on accessories, but most phones, especially smartphones, are not discounted.
As far as other iPhone cases, they appear to be discounted when you browse them on verizonwireless.com. I think it was only during the iPhone pre-order that you could not get any employee/corporate discount.
25% discount does not apply on the apple cords or chargers. I was thinking that if the bumper was available on VZW, then you could get 25% off until I saw that 1) its not being offered yet and 2) the discount does not apply to the apple accessories yet.
Amazon has some of the cases and they are cheaper than Verizon. Also worth checking if you have an employee/corporate discount with Apple since the accessories can be purchased through their website too.
Here's a stupid question, once you activate the iPhone, will your previous phone automatically be deactivated? This is only my second phone on Verizon so I want to be sure before I smash my old Samsung phone in with a sledgehammer.

Nope. Ordered 2 phones at 2:52 AM ET with an ACE Order of 388. Mine's shipping.
Anticipating the rush in case orders for the iPhone I ordered mine separately on Feb 1st so I'd have a compatible case in my hand by the time I get my IPhone. Just got it today.
Yes, this will deactivate your old phone. The instuctions tell you to turn off your old phone before you activate the new one.
Another update from Verizon rep. I've been on the phone with them four times calling to ask more questions that I have from reading this thread.
OK, so I got off the phone with one rep who said my order has shipped (I just ordered the phone, no case my Ace number was 724) She said it's shipped and will be delivered by tomorrow before 3pm.
As soon as I hung up, I realized I should have asked for a tracking number so I called back, Verizon rep #2 gets on the line and I asked him for a tracking number and/or where my phone would be shipping from.
He has me on hold FOREVER.....and comes back and says they are shipping from Texas but due to the weather and all the snow, they probably won't be delivered till "Monday or Tuesday, the 7th or 8th". And he had no tracking number for me at that time.
The wait continue.......Who knows who is right but it sure is fun stalking and hoping with ya'll.
Oh FYI I ordered via the Verizon site last night at about 10 minutes to midnight PST.

I just ordered mine about a half hour ago - got the confirmation message saying the expected ship date is the 10th? Did anyone else get this kind of estimate as well?
That will totally suck if it doesn't even ship out until the day that I could have just gone to a store to buy one....
Yeah that doesn't make sense at all.. We got the exclusive pre order.. Which I thought was a reward.. We didn't get any discount.. What makes our 3am order different from someone who goes in the store on the 9th and get it on the 10.. -__- #fail
