Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

So some reps are saying they are shipping, others are saying they are not...same mixed signals.
Also, is there going to be an issue where you can't activate the phone until the 10th?

Thx RainbowOfBeans just checked order......placed at 1:55am CST Ace # 2339 still sitting at "order in process." No charge to CC. I have called in and questioned Verizon...our Verizon Primary line is in my wifes name, and I am an add on line. When I placed the pre-order, the billing asked for acct #, CVC #, and the expire date....what "Name on Card" did they use....there sure wasn't a field for it....does it by default use primary lines name? Called Big Red 3 times now and they said shouldn't be an issue. I just think its weird that they never sked or needed name on card....
I was #845, and mine said Feb 10 as well, until it said that it was shipped. I think that they only use the Feb 10 date to be safe. Everywhere that I have looked says that you will have it on or before Feb 10. I would think that they would only allow the amount of pre-orders as iPhones they have to ship. It would really suck if they let people pre-order, and then send them their phone days after the in-store release!
I also just talked to two reps.
1. Said my order shipped but had no tracking number. (Sounded completely clueless, though.)
2. Guy said everyone at Verizon has been told the phones will NOT ship before the 10th. At the very earliest, they will arrive on the 10th, but not any earlier. "Shipped" means it's in the system. That's it.
So now I'm really confused.

Read earlier posts that people's phones were being shipped but I could not check at the computer I was on. Just checked and YES mine is also being shipped! WOW, Kudos to Verizon for getting these out so quickly. I'm amazed, surprised and stoked! Will change my sig when it gets here!

When I go into my business account and put it in under order status it says it is not in stock at the warehouse.

So many Verizon reps are absolutely clueless. Verizon's very own FAQ page states that we'll receive the iPhone on or before February 10.

I actually talked to a VZW Rep last week and he told me that if we pre-ordered on the 3rd, we would get them on the 4th.
I'm having the same issue. My order was proccessed at 3:40....started at 3:20.
Have the same exact type of order number and same issues when i go to check...anyone have any ideas? Figure the business accounts would be pushed thru quick.

Well I called to change my shipping address from my account address (where my g/f still lives), to my school address so I could get the phone directly (forgot to change in my excited haste), and they told me that it was already in process of shipping, and that I would have to cancel my order and get back in line to change the address. He also said that any orders shipped before 3pm today should be received by tomorrow. I was on hold for a while, so i assume he actually asked someone who knew what they are talking about.
The member on the Verizon forums that claimed he received the shipping confirmation email just posted that he was wrong. Got a little too excited all for nothing. Still holding out hope, but don't want to get too anxious!

My ACE # is 5527 and my status is still "We received your order and it is in process." Anyone else around this ACE # or higher seeing that theirs has shipped? Just curious. I completed my order around 3:15am Eastern.

The VZW Rep I spoke to did not have any information on my order (3:35 AM EST) but it was his experience that it could take up to 24 hrs to post shipping info. on the website. He indicated (strongly) that I should receive mine tomorrow. I live in Charlotte and mine would ship from Alpharetta GA. and he does not see any weather or other problems with a Friday delivery. So I'll probably be sent a tracking number after the phone has been delivered.

I just got off the phone with Verizon. I'm in Raleigh and was told that they aren't shipping until the 8th for delivery on the 10th. No way was it going today. I'm hoping the rep was wrong!
I agree with several posters who point out that "being shipped' or "has been shipped" just means that the phone was physically sent to the shipper-FEDEX or whomever. In my confirmation email, it said that I would receive an email when it is shipped. So until we get an email stating that it is on the way and with a tracking number, the phones are probably not on their way to our hot little hands as yet. Let's hope they are physically with the shipping agent. Regardless, if an order status states it has been shipped then at least it is that much closer to getting to us. IMO.
I'm in Raleigh so I like the sound of this...although right now my order hasn't shipped yet. I have ordered phones for my company in the past and 9 times out of 10 I get the package delivered before I see the tracking number email.
I think it's safe to say if your card is being charged you'll get your phone soon. Verizon doesn't charge the card until the phone leaves with the carrier.
