Anyone received their 7 and sent in their old device for trade in or taken to the store? Any issues?

Everyone getting the quoted amount?

Went to USPS to mail in my trade in yesterday, looks like it should get there Tuesday so won't know anything till a few days after that I guess.

Showed up, filled out the little card requesting a jet black 256GB 7, waited around, they brought the phone out. Transferred the photos over via an App, removed my 6 from the case and gave it to them, signed on the dotted line and walked out.
The only issue was they brought out a matte black instead of the jet black - but honestly that worked out to my benefit as I like the matte better than the jet black.
Since my 6 was case bound since day 1 it had no scratches on it and the screen was perfect condition so according to them it qualified for the $649.99. It's an all/nothing deal on it though, no pro-rating based upon damage. The only other option is doing the trade deal where you only get up to around (I think it was last time I checked) $50-$225 (depending on device).

Did they apply the credit to your bill on the spot in store?

No, and that's not what the process is. You must purchase the phone on their installment plan. Then after 3 months they start crediting it back to you on the installment plan with a monthly pro-rated amount. You will have to maintain the plan for the entire 2 year period to get the full benefit of the $649.99.

I should note, that the image above is based upon the baseline iPhone 7. Larger storage selections will not result in the $0 cost.

I;m just upgrade my after one year. Half the credit is still pretty much almost the same I can get if I just sell my phone outright pretty much.

Should work out about the same. I think it's around $27 a month back.
I keep my phones for a minimum of 2 years (not worried about having the latest/greatest really) so I will get full benefit of it.

I haven't read the whole thread, so forgive me if this has been asked.

Do you pay the same upgrade fee if you order online as opposed to buy in-store?

I know this has been answered - but the iPhone 7 must be purchased from Verizon directly to be eligible?

Could've sworn Sams Club was doing the promo as well..

When getting it from Sam's, you are basically getting it from Verizon. They are an authorized reseller. No different than going into one of those small authorized reseller stores that say Verizon on the front that aren't actually a corporate store but private owned.
And it appears it is basically the same deal (in fact, it's probably the same installment plan)
This is from their "Sam's Club" site for the iPhone 7.

If referring to the corporate Verizon store, you will get stuck with their stupid upgrade/activation fee.
From looking at the Verizon site, it's the same fee.

Yes. I just chatted with a VZW rep this morning about it since all the craziness is dying down and they told me that I should be able to upgrade next year.

Gotcha. In that case, could I also get it from the Apple Store or any other authorized Verizon reseller?

I traded in a iPhone 6 at my local Verizon Corporate store, they checked the phone and clicked a few buttons on the website and it said the value was 650.00 and it told me what I would get per-month too.

Great, that what I was hoping. Thanks!

Did they mention the payments schedule?

When you go in, they have the different payment amounts (depending on storage configuration) printed on the card beside each device. To figure the savings, just divide 649.99 by 24 (it's something like 27.08). That's what you will be credited back for each month.
They also have the monthly amount listed on the Verizon web site for each device.

I'm sorry, I was unclear. I saw the doc with the various amounts.

What I meant was, did they clarify the "credits will start in 2-3 billing cycles" or if the initial payment will make up for them by being a larger payment?

Look at the image I posted here. It shows that it will take 2-3 billing cycles... and from what I understood they will also credit you for the 2-3 months that you had to wait until they started (so if it's $27 per month and it takes 3 months then you will get a lump sum of $81 then the remainder at $27 per month). That was how it was explained to me by the sales rep.

Great. That confirms what I had already heard. Thanks again.
