Multiple reps saying the same thing is more convincing, but once bitten twice shy. This wouldn't be the first time that reps did it have the most up to date info, and this does seem like a new promo with different restrictions. We'll see.
*fingers crossed* Best of luck to ya.Yeah, I asked her multiple times to confirm and she put notes in my account regarding all the info we chatted about so I think it should be fine.
I have been chatting with a Verizon rep this morning and this is what she told me:
"Nope! Once the trade in is processed, the price of the iPhone 7 will be paid in full and will not show on your bills moving forward.Rest assured that nothing will add up on your bill after the upgrade."
Oh and the rep put all the info in my account, but she told me to go the store to trade in the phone once I get the 7 and the promo will be placed in then.
So the CSR confirmed that you're on a device payment plan (DPP) for 2 years, but that you wouldn't have a device payment (it would be considered paid in full)?I got the same thing from a rep. I didn't do the trade in during checkout. When I called, she said that because I ordered during the promotion, when I receive my phones, I can just go through the trade in process and the credit is applied. Let's hope it all goes smoothly...

Hi,
I was in a rush to order and did not choose the trade in. Would I be able to get the trade in? Seems like in some of the fine print it says you can trade in later. Is this true? Did somebody manged to confirm this with verizon?
Also in some of the promotional material it say upto $650. Are we guaranteed $650 if the phone we trade in is is good working condition or is it going to be tough to get the full credit?
Thanks!

Talk to a rep about claiming the deal after placing an order.Hi,

A 2-year obligation

I've done this before. It's quick and painless. Even this idiot could do it. ;-)
I had zero intention of upgrading this year. None. However, if VZW is going to give me $650 for my 16GB iPhone 6 and I can get a $128 GB iPhone 7 for $5, it might be dumb not to.
Yeah how does that work? It said promotional price was like $400 or $450 for my iPhone 5s, but yet under the trade in they offer me $98 dollars.... Hmmm...It is only offering my $298 for my iPhone 6s Plus 128GB. How do I get the $650
Thanks for the info above. Just to be safe I am going to chat with a rep as well and get some confirmation and notes into my account for whatever it is worthRead my posts up above.
Never count my idiocy out. Ever. I'm like the comeback kid. Except in his mid-30's.Perhaps you're not as much of an idiot as you make yourself out to be.![]()
Please post back here when you're done. Thanks for the info above. Just to be safe I am going to chat with a rep as well and get some confirmation and notes into my account for whatever it is worth

I'm trying to get ahold of a rep but I guess nobody wants to talk to me...I wonder if they just credit us the difference later on?
I'm trying to get ahold of a rep but I guess nobody wants to talk to me...I already pre-ordered too
They only have thousands (if not tens of thousands) of people doing the same thing right now. I'd give it a few hours.I'm trying to get ahold of a rep but I guess nobody wants to talk to me...I already pre-ordered too
I'm trying for a chat rep while at the same time on calling the actual phone line too... not working out for meThey only have thousands (if not tens of thousands) of people doing the same thing right now. I'd give it a few hours.
Or try a chat rep.
Or try a Spanish rep (they're usually bilingual anyway).

People that got a 6s last year probably aren't upgradingForgive me if I missed this earlier in the thread, but what are people doing who purchased an iPhone 6s with the device payment plan last year? Are you paying down the remaining balance (for me it's around $425) and then trading in that phone to get the credit? Or are you just hitting the 50% to upgrade to the iPhone 7 and staying on the device payment plan?
How did you answer the questions? Is there an issue with the phone? Perhaps the phone isn't a Verizon device currently active?
