What's funny about it? I'm more angry about the lack of customer service. I don't think I'm wrong to expect my phone to be shipped by the date I was told.

Because it is just a phone. That phone will not improve your quality of life. In another year or two the 5s will be just as irrelevant as the phone you have in your hands right now. So there is no reason to be angry. No problem waiting a week or two more. I'm in the same situation as you.

:) Ditto. I'm in the same situation as well. I'd love to get my hands on it ASAP but a few days or weeks won't kill. Life is too short to get mad over something like this.

Agreed. Again, it's more of a customer service issue for me. I would've liked to be notfied of changes to my order.

you should call them and have them at least waive your upgrade fee or something. that's what i was about to do if my order wasn't shipping on time. So call them and see if they could at least waive your upgrade fee or something. i have no shame in calling in for stuff like this esp when there is a lack of communication for the consumer.

Order still "processing" with ship date of 9/24 and credit card still has NOT been charged for gold 16GB. Ordered couple of minutes after the sale went live and nothing has changed from that moment.

Called up 'online ordering' dept and chewed their asses out. Told them that if I don't receive a Tracking # by midnight PST - I'm cancelling my order and taking my 3 lines back to AT&T after being with Big Red for almost a decade now and with a perfect payment history during that span.

They've really botched this up. First come, first serve my (_!_)

For those that have received FedEx tracking numbers, does the consensus seem to be still that it's the location code underscore order number? Does the order number have to be 9 digits? I saw some were saying you had to put leading zeros in front...9:26 PM EST, still no change, but same ship date of 9/24.

So I was checking my emails at work and decided to see if there was any movement with Fedex. When I opened the VZW email from this morning I noticed the shipping address was wrong. I had set my shipping address to be the same as my billing address. Apparently VZW has had my billing address wrong for 5 years! But the mail man knows me and I've always gotten letters from them in the past if anything is sent out but I had also immediately moved to paperless billing so I guess it was never an issue until now.

CSR helped me out and it may delay delivery by a day. As long as it doesn't go to the wrong place, I'm fine waiting an extra day.
 
Checked my order status again this evening and it shows as shipped and with FedEx in Memphis. This is for a 64gb gold ordered online at about 3:30 am on launch day. This morning it was still showing a ship date of 9/30 but they charged my CC about 2:00 pm.

Anyone that ordered via the Verizon enterprise portal for business that has received info yet? We ordered Friday morning around 830est, which is right around the time it went live on the site.

Supposed to ship on the 24th with overnight delivery, but all of our orders still show in pre order status. In years prior I can't recall if this happened and they shipped during the night or if there was a delay.
 
curious - was your original delivery date the 25th and then it just revised to the 24th today?

guess it depends on your local fedex - some are willing to attempt delivery today while others are sticking to the scheduled delivery date
Yeah, the delivery date still said for the 25th on FedEx's website, but I received it today.
 
Mine just arrived in Pittsburgh! It will be here tomorrow! Good thing I don't work until 4 so I'll be home to get it.
 
Just spoke with verizon and they said that they just got word from apple that the 16g 5s will not ship until October 7th. Yay me. Not! Beyond pissed.

call every single apple and verizon store within 50 miles and hope someone has it :apple: I'm sure there will be one, somewhere, some store around you before 10/7
 
Mine arrived in Columbus at 6:20pm. It will be delivered tomorrow! Can't Wait!!:D:D Good luck to everybody still waiting to get shipping notification.
