Yeah, a small data cap that 98% of users fall under, according to ATT.
Well gee, since AT&T said it....that must be true!
When AT&T raised my bill last time, they told me that I was winning by paying more! They were right! I won! Yeah!

A voice plan is not required with DataConnect plans.
We may, at our discretion, suspend your account if we believe your data usage is excessive, unusual or is better suited to another rate plan. If you are on a data plan that does not include a monthly MB/GB allowance and additional data usage rates, you agree that AT&T has the right to impose additional charges if you use more than 5 GB in a month; provided that, prior to the imposition of any additional charges, AT&T shall provide you with notice and you shall have the right to terminate your Data Service.

For now, anyway.
Doubt that. AT&T will have to come up with keeping its iPhone users happy. Watch and see that unlimited data plan return. If and when that happens, Verizon would be complete idiots to business if they eventually cap it.
yeah, maybe by the time Verizon gets the iPhone 6, they will have the 4G network in more than 27 cities in the US.iPhone 5 (or 6 if they are really lame) will be 4G so that will solve your problem.
AT&T does not have a limit. I and many others are using 20 GB+ a month.

I'l never understand how people can switch to Verizon's network. I have to multi-task for my business by running apps, texting, surfing the web, all while being on the phone. How on earth are people going to be productive on Verizon's network?

Thats why Im never leaving Sprint... no dropped calls and the pricing is great... Sprint will have the iphone in due time. You cant beat $110 for unlimited text, data and phone.![]()
Verizon's idea of unlimited usually has a 5GB cap...trust me.

why would he be unhappy? you don't think the iphone 5 will come to verizon this summer? why would apple not release it at the same time as any other carrier![]()
I think it should against the LAW to say "unlimited" and then place a limit on it. It's bait & switch, pure and simple. I think they should have to pay a fine, reimburse the customer somehow and then give them the unlimited they signed up for.I hope this is true but t-mobile and AT&T have in the past advertised "unlimited" data when it was actually 5GB. so it's confusing (at least to me) -- I would like to find out for sure if this is actually truly unlimited, if so it would be a major reason to consider the iPhone. If you jailbreak it and add tethering (or even pay for tethering) it would be pretty awesome.
Agreed. I would have happily left AT&T a long time ago if there was a carrier in my area that did 3G (AT&T has me on EDGE, still [can you believe that?!]) -- but I refuse to go with another company because I love the iPhone too much. Once all the carriers have the iPhone, we'll see some true competition. AT&T, you had your time to turn me into a lifetime loyal customer -- and you blew it! As it stands, I just can't wait to be shut of you! You're not tied to anything. You can break the contract any time you wish. Just most people are too cheap and don't want to fork over the termination fee. For some reason, they think it's more expensive to do so than pay for something they really don't want for the next 2 years (or whatever time is left).
These types of posts kill me. Could you please explain WHY you feel he'll be "extremely disappointed come june/july"? If it's your opinion, just explain what that opinion actually is! Is it really that hard to have a position and to clearly explain it?!You're going to be extremely disappointed come june/july, IMO.

Comcast home broadband says unlimited. And it says capped at 250GB in the fine print. Or 150, I forget. A couple months I came within 60% of the cap, never really got close. There hasn't been a single instance that I know of where this has actually happened.
Hmm, I tend to average 25-30mph when congested. So 5x that would be lots of fun!Put up a toll with congestion pricing, and bam, 10% less people on the road, 5X more speed.
To get a phone subsidy, any phone, you will need a calling plan with contract. If you already have a plan, you just need to add data for a smartphone. (and a 2 year contract) I believe this is the same for ATT, VZW, and TMob. (well, no iPhone on TMob) You might be able to play games with only an iPad data plan, at least on ATT with the SIM cards.Do you actually need to sign up for a calling plan? Or can you just sign up for a data plan only?

Man Americans get ripped off. On one hand you have a CDMA network were you dont get the full features of an iPhone and on the other you have a GSM network that has poor coverage.
Over in Oz. I pay $115 for $800 worth of calls and 9GB of data. My girlfriend pays $63 for $600 worth of calls and 3GB of data. And the download speeds average 3-6Mbs and the upload speeds average 2-3.5Mbs. Our worst provider would be equivalent to AT&T
So is unlimited actually unlimited or does this mean 5GB?
Most of us iPhone 4 users are tied down in a contract so it doesn't matter much yet... After we are free to leave the competition will heat up a bit
i'm looking forward to getting the iphone 5 in june/july on verizon.
