For the first time, I did charge to bill so not sure when I will even see a charge. I avoided ANY CC this year because of this exact problem. PayPal sounds like a good option too I just didn't want to waste time logging in.
It went really fast. Took only about 2 minutes to go through the whole process. Faster than using my CC last year.

My order says (Processing)
Apple® iPhone® 11 Pro Max 512GB in Space Gray
Please check back later for an updated order status.

7:01AM CST Accidentally ordered iPhone 11 Pro 512GB in Space Gray and 2 hours after I realized my mistake. Tried adding a new order, but asked me to pay $1183 The down payment was required because I already exceeded my credit limit. Called customer service to cancel my order around 1pm, credit limit was reset, then ordered again around 2PM.

Card has been charged for full amount. Amex somehow declined the purchase so I updated pmt info with my Chase card. Charge processed successfully. Hopefully my launch-day delivery is still effective.

First time pre-ordering through Verizon app.

I am already on the Verizon installment program with my current iPhone XS. I selected return device and upgrade (I have paid 12 months already). Went through selecting my iPhone 11 Pro with no problem and at the end it asked me if I want to trade in a device and get $200 or something, I declined and completed my order.

The confirmation email does not say anything about my iPhone XS trade-in/return and when I go to the app I can still select my current iPhone XS and start again a "return and upgrade" order.

Did I mess something up or is this just how their system works until they process everything?

Same exact scenario with me, so out of curiosity I went through the process again and it let me complete another order. Now it actually shows a pending order. I don't think the first order went through.

Hey everyone so is this a scam? The order numbers it shows does not match my Ofer number on the vzw site and the time it was ordered is also incorrect as I ordered mine around 7:02am

Log on to your account and check your order before you chalk it up as a scam. If you use the VZ app as soon as you log on you will see your order details

I got the same email, and was wondering the same thing. My email shows the correct order number, and the time looks correct.

This definitely looks like a scam. The email is horribly worded.

I agree with MsRandall, check your account first before responding to this email.

Yeah, that is the first thing I did. Says "Please check back later for an updated order status."

Well, what’s the email in the sent field, and what’s the URL in the link?

URL is https://www.verizonwireless.com/vzw/browse/orderpayment/failed/findOrder.jsp?ReferenceNumber

then a whole bunch of stuff after.

I am thinking it is a legitimate email, but will probably call tomorrow.

Always go directly to your account on any type email that is asking for account or order information. If the wording is off and the reply email is not correct, it is a scam. Sometimes they spoof people’s emails too so the return address can look right. Don’t use any links in a email always go to the site where you type in the address or in this case you can use your Verizon app. Always better to be safe than sorry.

Card was charged. From pending (blue color font) to processing (red color font). This morning when I checked, it says its shipped estimated delivery on Sep 20, 2019 with a Fedex tracking number.:apple: here we go!!!
