I ordered thru a Verizon authorized retailer at 10 am est. It's shipping to their store for a in store pickup, but for a date of 10/4. I was freaking out until I realized it was because I got the series 5 Nike watch as well. Do you think they will ship the phone and watch together or separately? Also if they ship the phone to the store on 9/20, do you think I can cancel the watch? I might end up getting one at Best Buy if they have stainless steel available on 9/20.
 
My confirmation from Verizon said delivery no later than 9/20/19 but online in my account it says that it will ship on 9/20/19. So if it ships on 9/20/19 my guess is it won’t arrive until Monday 9/23/19.
 
Did anybody else get the $200 line upgrade when trade in? I saw it pop up when I traded in my phone but it never showed at end on the bill.
 
I have a XS Max and wasn’t going to upgrade, like a lot of people here I had upgraded every year since I can recall. However I use the device payment plan. So I did some thinking that if I wait another 12 months for the 2020 release I am still paying the 52.00 a month for the XS Max so why not just get the newest phone and keep making the 52.00 payment on the new device and then next year either buy it out and sell it to make a little profit/pay off balance. Obviously paying the 52.00 a month for the next 12 months would essentially pay off the device, but just to roll it into the 2020 phone almost seems like a wash to some degree.

Am I off base with this and just convinced myself of this rational?


We are the same boat bro!! Mine and wife are both on the payment plan. I had the XS Max while my wife has the X. Upgrading hers to Max Pro 512GB and swap it so I get the Max Pro, and she’ll get my XS Max. will do again next year. Lol

Mine says that too, but I have a feeling come Monday it will change to delivered by 09/20.

My order says that it's still processing and to check back later. Delivery date says 9/20. Hope it comes by then because we're leaving for Hawaii for two and a half weeks on the 30th!

You might have a problem. A lot of times these things get delayed for weeks due to some processing or shipping error.

Freaking out because of a cell phone delivery date. I’ve seen it all.

Don’t worry - I do this every year

I also follow the Verizon threads every year - I’ve seen phones ship the day before the estimate date and get to their new owners on time. I’ve seen some delays - about 5% but they are truly rare.

Hard Rule I follow— is don’t call Verizon for status or updates. Reps are already being bugged and when they start digging in orders they can accidentally cancel them. Again rare but it has happened. If your Vz bill is due before your order has shipped pay it on time - that CAN delay orders.

You are waiting for the next step - your delivery date will disappear from your order details and then your payment will be authorized. They normally start moving orders on Sunday afternoon/evening as they work thru the pallets. Colors/ like configurations go in waves.

Relax you will have your phone before you leave.

They usually give you 30 days to add the Apple Care on, you can always contact Apple and they will tell you.
 
I just placed a pre-order through the Verizon App for a gray 256GB Pro 11. It says "estimated to ship around 9/20".

For those who say they are getting 9/20 delivery, did the order start with "estimated to ship around 9/20" or did it always say 9/20 delivery?
Mine says shipping on 9/20 - which is odd given I ordered at 5:01 am PST....and it says "in processing" is this normal?

Me too. They're just missing my apartment number on the shipping address. Don't know why. Ugh. Called and they said I couldn't change the shipping address now. Would need to cancel order and reorder. No way. Just hoping FedEx will recognize it since I have a delivery account with the apartment number.
yeah that happened to me last year, you will have to have Fedex fix it, worse case they will hold for u at the local Fedex station :)

two years ago when I got the X mine said the ship date was actually the launch date, and I got mine on launch day. So maybe you’ll be in the same boat.

Does anybody else have a a deliver by date of 9/19? It’s gotta be an error, but also slightly hoping somehow it’s true haha!

Update: I woke up this morning and cancelled my order.

I started a new order with a down payment so I would 1) have a lower monthly payment and 2) have the iPhone paid off before next year’s release. This way, I can move into Apple’s IUP if I choose at that time with little hassle.

My 11 Pro Max will now come a week later, 9/27, but this time around I was able to get the Device Dollars spread into my payments for the first 12 months (chose this over 24 since I’m going to pay it off sooner). Making the monthly payment even lower. The previous credit on the bill remains. Activation fee still waived.

I’ll enjoy reading and watching a week of first impressions and commentary, then join in on the fun!

30 days to add Apple Care. I always add the day I get the phone. I take it into the store that’s 10 minutes from me, but you can call in to have it done as well.

You called FedEx customer service and they added apartment number? If so I guess I'll need to wait to get a tracking number.
