@gcraig - Verizon is awful when it comes to resolving issues with pre-orders. I went through a nightmare last year with them. I wanted to go to Apple this year, but let my Device Dollars sway me. I wanted to put a down payment on my phone (getting off the Verizon Upgrade Program next year to switch to Apple) and they had to cancel and redo the order. 9/20 went to 9/27. I didn’t even bother to ask about pushing my order forward because of my experience from last year. It’s a luck of the draw if you get someone who actually does it. Most times the fact is they are just talking to get you off the phone. Then you risk your order really getting screwed if you call in/chat too many times because each touch by an agent can cause further errors in your order as they try to “figure out what’s going on”.

I’m going to see if my card gets charged in the next few days. If by Tuesday/Wednesday, nothing happens with my card being charged or a change in order status, I’ll give one call. Based on that one call, I will know to cancel my order or that my phone is truly on the way.

Not going through this with Verizon again next year if I can help it.

Well...I was lucky that Core team folks definitely more knowledgeable than average VZ CSR. The last woman I got seemed to be some kind of supervisor and really knew her stuff. None of this has resolved the original untethered charge to my card.

I do have new news though and doubt it is in response to my emailed letter to them, more likely “jump the line” actually may have worked. Tonight my Amex was charged and my order status flipped from Processing to Pending. Still no shipment notice but I’m hoping maybe Saturday or Monday delivery. Will see, and really, a one week wait for a new phone isn’t any type of crisis.

well, you guys are all lucky because Verizon still can't seem to locate a tracking number for me :( honestly they are a bunch of **. Just don't know how they could screw up a basic order when I ordered on release day! Was pro max green, 256, most popular probably... and the lady tonight said it may be another week :{
 
I preordered the Midnight Green 256GB Pro in store at Verizon around roughly noon on Saturday, the day after preorders began. It’s maintained a firm shipment date of 9/27 ever since with “processing” next to order status. No tracking number has been provided. Should I just forget about getting it before late next week/early October? Asking from the Dallas, Texas area.

I’d suggest just chill. If it ships earlier it ships otherwise one week isn’t end of world which is what i’ve concluded. In past years with both Verizon and Apple I’ve had items ship earlier than forecast. Everyone has incentive to get that phone in your hands and operational ASAP. Everyone wants to book revenue before end of Q3.

fedex moves fast, i have had packages in Memphis at midnight and made it to the east coast and delivered by 8am
Mine said arrived in TN at 10:56pm not sure how accurate or just late to the game on updates and already sitting on the tarmack headed to Reno hub😏

What do you guys do with your old phones, trade in to Apple/Verizon, sell outright, pass down? If you sell what's the best site to use?
 
Does anyone know what my options are if I miss the 1st delivery Attempt? Can they have it sent to a UPS store and I can pick it up the same day so that I get my phone on Friday?
 
After 4 days just sitting in New Jersey, it’s finally in Cali. I’m soooo damn excited for this phone! :D

I haven't had much luck with the Core team for my order they screwed up. Have talked to them three time and was promised a delivery Friday. It's now almost 3:00 am, and nothing. No charge, and still shows a 10/9 delivery. Just placed a order with Best Buy that claims to have three available for pick up. Now only two available. Will see if they come through.

Well Vz F***ed me as expected. After numerous assurances yesterday that my “processing” order would be shipped last night for today’s delivery—it’s still processing this morning. What a f***ing joke!

While you're likely right, there is still the possibility your phone will be out for delivery before you get a notification. Once my notification came in, my phone was already well on it's way to my area.

I used to pass down to nieces/nephews or friends but doing trade this time with Verizon though weirdly I’m suspecting the way they corrected my order snafu they may have simply discounted new phone by trade amount because order has no mention of trade in box.

My order is now marked shipped with 9/23 delivery but tracking number not active yet so seems waiting for pickup.
