I still don't think the general iPod user is ready for video. Of course, Steve-oh could still announce some wicked-crazy deal to bring serious content (videoblogs, tv, movies) to the iTunes + iPod world.
But here's the thing, we know that Apple doesn't make Macs for people to sick back, watch tv and give off beta brainwaves. They know that Mac users like to be productive (giving off alpha brainwaves.)
If video is being enabled on the iPod then AirTunes/Airport Express will have to be expanded to handle video as well. They will handle HD video once wireless-n is implemented.
