Video iPod Really Coming on Oct 12th?

I don't understand why people are so against the video iPod. Do you think that Apple will just realease a POS? I highly doubt it. I don't know of Anything that is branded with the Apple name that I wouldn't buy. And here people are saying, woah, the VIDEO IPOD IS GOING TO SUCK.. Why?

Here are some benefits, even if you don't use the video:

1. Bigger Screen
2. Smaller iPod
3. Larger HD (My Guess)

These are just some of the things that are going to be added on.. Why not buy it if it's at the same price.. And somebody said that they won't even sell, that's just ridiculous.

They'll sell more, that's my guess. I've been pretty much perfect on guessing what's going to be released, maybe I should start a rumor site.
 
i would love a video ipod, but i'd love a video airport express as rumored even more. i have an ipod, but what i get the most use of is my airport express, playing music wirelessly from my powerbook or powermac g4 to my surround speakers. and with my HDTV, i'd love a video one. they need to drop the USB port on it, no one uses it because it works with like 5 printers out there, and add HD video streaming. it already has 5.1 output, i just dont know how it works, since itunes doesnt have 5.1...

but i do want powermac updates. i'm REALLY going to be buying a g5 soon, ignoring the intel craze since thats still 3/4 year away and i need a g5 sooner than later, and i could just sell my g5 at that point. i'm in content creation, so ive gotten to the point where final cut pro 4.5 isnt enough for me, and i need motion, which won't install on my machine. and a dual core g5 would be perfect for that. with or without updates, i'm still getting a new g5 within the month, but a newer one would be nice.

I love how they try to make it sound like they were right all along. Truth is they denied the existence of any iPod originally. Hell, they even denied the existence of iPods at the last event too. I just hope we see some new computer hardware soon.

PS- Its pretty obvious Thank Secret is now pw0ned by Apple. Me thinks the leaky Apple has been plugged and they are selectively feeding TS random stuff.
TS's track record in all likelihood is because of a couple moles in Apple. Once that asset dried up TS is back to where they were a couple years ago. Hit and miss rumors. We'll see at noon tomorrow just how successful Apple has been.

Unfortunatly these numerous contradictions by Thinksecret might well bring the death squad to Appleinsider.

The professional folks that buy PBs and PMs as well as Imacs are the most loyal Apple costumers.
Now Apple are selling millions of Ipods, but if one day Apple misses the boat in making them so amazing all the PC people who buy most Ipods will move to the next cool thing and forget about Apple. Meanwhile we the loyal Apple costumers that spent money on Apple during the Gil Amelio's days will continue to support it.
So I say to Steve, keep us happy with great computers.

Havgn't read all the posts, sorry, but I hope playback capability will be available for all iPod photo and iPod's with colour screens?

Again, I haven't read everything, but is it that we will get iPod's with video playback as opposed to 'video iPod's' which would have a different form factor and larger screen?

Not sure what to make of this either way...

truly. ThinkSecret is merely loosing it. They've predicted all possible product announcements for tomorrow. Pathetic.

The ONLY thing for sure that is happening tomorrow is updated POWERBOOKS. It is just so incredibly obvious. This much I know, the rest I have no clue.
 
God damn it people. If there are any PowerBook updates it going to be for crap. Why can't people get it through their thick head Apple is going to have a computer blitz next year? Get your panties out of your crack and chill. god. It’s like dealing with a 8 year old before Christmas. You just want to smack em and tell them to shut up. Thankfully I have no plans to be a parent. :p

They should be. It's amazing they sold as many Macs as they did but they can't rely on the iPod halo effect forever. They need to update their computer product line.
 
This just in...

I have heard from a very reliable source that the "one more thing" WILL be a new powerbook driven by a new processor chip called the flux capacitor 2.0 with dual titty overdrive.
I've had enough. I just want to go to sleep and wake up at 10:15 am. :)
 
can someone tell us what PDT in the more useful form GMT+/-XX for those of us who live on the other side of the world and have no idea how many hours difference it is?

Use the clock widget..

open one up and set it to cupertino,california..
open another one up and set it to your time..

Look at both...
When the cupertino clock says 10AM...Thats when the one more thing starts

I will be seriously dissapointed and upset if there are no PB updates tomorow. Come on Apple - please - get back to your roots.

Video iPod "accessory"?

Wasn't there an Apple patent a few months ago showing some sort of bogus looking iPod-docking-inside-an-iBook thingy? What if that was the technology behind the new iPod video "accessory"? That way, you could have your cake and eat it too.

A "regular" iPod that is small and compact and only plays music.

An "accessory" that's just a glorified video screen into which an iPod docks--this allows it to display video.

Just a thought. Those Apple patent diagrams are always hiding something. :cool:
