i kinda liked the bold font.
i don't like it on the keyboard layout..
would like "bold" to asign it to certain things!

I want to keep animations within the OS but not the parallax.

Same here. It worked that way in the previous release. I like the zoom feature.

Accessibility needs its own setting, instead of being buried in General. There are now too many options and it requires drilling down to much.

Interesting how people complained about the lack of settings on early iPhones. Now I'm complaining that there are too many settings!

Uh, kid - the photo icon hasn't changed. You're holding the phone in front of your face, so might as well look at it.

I hate the new keyboard. And that new caps lock icon is going to confuse a lot of old people...............

What was Jonny Ives Thinking!!!

I have to say, I really hate the look and feel of IOS 7 and its just getting worse. Putting a grey background around a button now makes it look like a badly designed web page - like the kind of thing a beginner would throw together when creating their first 'Hello World' webpage!!!

Yes they needed to distinguish a button from a piece of text but didn't Mr Ives in all his infinite wisdom not realise in the first iteration of this that people might like to SEE the difference between a button and a piece of text without having to try and click on it first!!???

Sorry for the rant but Apple have the luxury of owning the operating system AND the hardware and they go and chose to make it look like windows 8 when they could have done something really special that no other hardware manufacturer could do owing to the fact that they can interact directly with the hardware. Oh and by the way, I'm not complaining about the 'features' of IOS 7, its far better than IOS6 but its just when I look at the interface I feel bored. Sorry Mr Ives, there's minimalist and there's BORING and thats not something I ever thought I'd say about Apple!

I wish they would change the music app like it was. I hate that it goes to artist then all their songs. I wish it would start as artist, then click to get the list of albums, then click the album for the list of songs on that album.

home botton unresposive on SIRI, need to tap like 4 or more times.

There is still no delete custom label.

Well... 7.1 feels pretty major with speedup throughout the system. It feels solid compared to 7.0.x., which crashed more than I expected.

If you want to stay on 7.0.x for a while, you should just update to 7.1.

another word: placebo

What? I don't understand?...''

On a more serious note I don't like the buttons but they're efficient. So they succeed as function over form. But I don't think they're implemented well. Look at the buttons at the bottom of the calendar app: there's no space to right or left of the text labels; compare them to the buttons at top of the favorites/bookmark screen in Safari, where the buttons "fit" the text. Those squeezed buttons are just a rookie mistake, like sign painters who run out of room so they make the final letters smaller and smaller to fit.

I find the "Enable Restrictions" and "ALLOW:" confusing, too. Am I allowing things to be restricted, or allowing them to function without restrictions? A few other iOS messages were improved ("grahamps" points out in post 81 in this thread how the screen's changed for the better when you're on a call and another one is incoming); the restrictions language could stand some more clarity too.

(RE: Calendar list view...) Now, it lists all your events for the day......It is so much better!!!!!

I thought at first Apple had copied the feature that caused me to use Sunrise as my Calendar app. I'm disappointed that the iOS7 Calendar change shows only that day's events in list view (or am I using it wrong?) Sunrise shows me a scrolling list of events for coming days--much more useful.

My Photos app icon is no different. Curious.
Also, the video doesn't show you the new Siri functionality: you can now hold down the home button and Siri will process on release. I like it better than press-&-release, talk, and wait for Siri to realize I'm done.

The Photos icon hasn't changed, the video is wrong about that. As for Siri, the video seems to be based off a beta release of iOS 7.1, so that feature might not have been known about at the time.

Yeahhhh, nooo! This was kind of a let down software release so I do believe I will be keeping my Jailbreak and staying on iOS 7.0.6 until iOS 8 which I don't think will be that amazing. I think Apple likes to do major software changes every other year as in iOS 5 was kick ass, iOS 6 was a minor tweak of iOS 5, and iOS 7 was a major change so I am thinking I will be on 7.0.6 for a while.

Can you still get winterboard themes when you jailbreak? The only way I would consider getting an iPhone again would be if it had larger screen and I could change those awful looking icons and ui skin. Even though iOs 6.xx looks dated it still looks a lot nicer.

Bring back Forstall. The true heir to Steve Jobs. I know Forstall isn't the most liked but his vision for ios was a lot better. Ive stick to what you are good at hardware design

Perspective zoom is still functional even though I have it set to off on both screens where it can be set

Edit: scrap that i confused perspective zoom with parallax

Yeah - the biggie

Didn't mention the real big one: new button in Calendar month view finally brings back the events at the bottom.

This is a real improvement. That is, an improvement over the earlier regression :)

Is it me or is Apple floundering?

It's you.

So, if you read this Tim Cook - we are NOT that dumb to foolishly spend $$ for a tiny bit of change over and over. That’s what Gates did with Windows :O

If you're spending $$$ for this change then someone's taking advantage of you. It is "point update", dude. And it's FREE. Not a Major rev. Oh by the way - those are FREE too.
