So yesterday, I took a break from studying and decided to test out the phone's video capabilities. I've had it for a few weeks, and I'd never shot a video lol. So, I just went outside and recorded my dead front yard. It was also my first time using iMovie (on mac), so I went ahead and threw in a title page and some music.

Youtube

I was pretty impressed with the quality as well as how easy it was to do every thing. It took only about 5 minutes to film, edit in iMovie and begin uploading to Youtube from within iMovie.

Name of song?

Video I made yesterday of the little '79 Civic my brother and I built a few years ago (well, aside from needing new paint and some dash work). I didn't realize that song was 5 minutes long so I kind of ran out of time/material and just ended it early :p

Overall I'm pretty impressed with the iMovie app. This was my first time actually using it, although I had played around with it some earlier in the summer. There's a few features I wish they'd add though. Like the ability to add titles/text that didn't last the ENTIRE length of the clip it's inserted into (although maybe that's possible and I just couldn't figure it out).

At first, I was using the original iMovie version (1.0) and once I'd gotten about 2 minutes worth of "stuff", iMovie started getting REALLY buggy and screwing up hardcore. It would show a black screen in lieu of the video that should have been there, showing the wrong video clip, wouldn't export, etc.

Then I remembered there was a new version so I was able to install it doing that "trick" in iFile, and the new one worked great.

I'm slowly being convinced to buy this app. Nice video.

I was impressed!! I have a rather large camera I use for my concerts, but the place is so small and dark I didn't want to be rude and take it out so I tried it with my iPhone (I was right up in front) I think the sound and video quality were great. Nobody would ever know I didn't use my camera. I'm gonna take some more at a bigger show and see how that works out.
