I just don't understand why people are making all these threads (such as this one) between today and part of yesterday. Honestly people, there's a press conference tomorrow. How about we hold off on these "Violently being pushed to Android Platform" until we hear what Apple has to say. If they say nothing pertaining to the Antenna issues and continue to ignore this pressing situation, fine continue the pissing and moaning. Until then, just shut up or switch quietly. Honestly, none of us care whether you are going to switch to Android. What makes you so special that you have to voice your opinion? You, along with many others, have stated that you're frustrated. I get that, WE ALL GET THAT. We're frustrated ourselves. I know I'm coming off hot here, and I'm sorry about that. But people on this forum just need to drop it for a day. I go on these boards and it seems like I keep finding the same threads over, and over, and over again.

Why do all Android users always fight back with this exact argument? Fart apps? The iTunes App Store is the most widely developed and extensive on a mobile platform. There's no argument. While Android has a few advantages, the iPhone shines in this arena.

Are there lot of those fart apps anymore? I haven't seen them in a long time after Apple "cleaned house." I think that's the de facto argument amongst Android fans.

Did Android for at least two months before getting the iPhone 4.

After everything else, I think the Android market has a serious, if not different, problem identifying the newest and greatest programs to install.

I log in to the app store every date to check out new applications to test and purchase. The fact that you log in to the Android Market everyday and see the same apps sorted by the same "I sold X count" algorithm, really diminishes the "freshness" of it.

The whole time I did Android I spent $4. I spend at least that much every week or two in the Apple store.

If you read the conclusion of the letter, they clearly state there is nothing wrong with the reception issue... here, quote it for your benefit.

"We have gone back to our labs and retested everything, and the results are the same— the iPhone 4’s wireless performance is the best we have ever shipped."
Clearly state? I'm not sure how you get "nothing wrong" from "best we have ever shipped."

Anyways, wongster41, obviously you are interpreting Apple's statements different than I am. Why are you continuing to argue the point? You're not going to change my mind.

We're going to have to agree to disagree here, but I will leave you with this. Steve Jobs have yet to acknowledge theres a reception issue.

And google has yet to admit there platform isn't up to par with the iPhone, whats your point?

Oh no! How will I sleep tonight? :D

Maybe I should stay awake anyways. In case Steve tries to "violently push" me into doing something... ;)

Ha. So true. It's amazing how well the iphone works as a phone compared to android.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there. Between the weak AT&T network which is known to drop calls and the antenna issues I'd say any Android phone you choose especially ones on the Verizon network will probably work better as a phone.

Well, to be fair it was on T-Mo vs. AT&T. But my Nexus One had a really hard time connecting and staying connected to both Bluetooth and Wifi. And as far as bluetooth for me, not having my handsfree in my car working most of the time was a deal-breaker for me.

I hate android though, but verizon's network is better than AT&T

I like how you have a screenshot of the iphone but a picture of the other device that is likely taken with the iphone.

Well, at least Android doesn't need photos to be ALL in one computer to get them all. No barrier. No ball and chain. I'm still pissed at these handcuffs known as iTunes and how it took 45 minutes to get 1,600 pix. A third of my pix were in VGA.

Give me OTA updates and the ability to drag & drop any photo, and I will be happy again. I am not asking much here.

For the five years since I got my first iPod, iTunes has been my biggest nuisance. Get with the times, Apple! If they can't give us Bluetooth file transfers where I can easily transfer short porn clips with all my friends on the spot, at least loosen the reins syncing to iTunes to get anything done.

I love iPhone 4. Can't stand Apple sometimes. Usually hates iTunes.

iTunes-dependency needs to stop. Especially to something as simple as photos.

Wow, did you not read what was said? I did get rid of the iPhone 4, and about to get rid of the iPhone 3g because it's slow. I know I have choices, and my choices are frustrating. It's either buy another iPhone 4 and deal with the reception issue, or go over to a less exciting android platform and 2nd par hardware and lose everything I've invested in the iTunes app store.

Get an Android phone and an iPod Touch, therefore you don't lose your app store investment. That's what I'm thinking of doing.

Isn't the whole purpose of this evolving technology supposed to be that we should only have to carry one device for everything?

Wow, did you not read what was said?

More like, we don't know what you expect us to do, exactly. Beg you not to leave? Design and build for you a custom iPhone 5 with a different antenna design? Brainwash Steve Jobs into apologizing so that your ego is soothed?

None of the above will realistically happen. You've made your decision. Now act on it.

So wrong!

Screenshot on Android:
1) Go to Market and download ShootMe.
2) Open ShootMe and select hide.
3) Shake it!

That's it.

Still one step too many. And, and I have to get an app to take a screenshot? Really?

This is fixed in 2.2 Froyo... right?

Isn't that only for rooted phones tho?

EditEdit: I just fired up Android Market and you do need root to use ShootMe.
