No, you don't need root anymore. It works without it as long as you're not on the latest update. A fix is coming for that.

Probably. Same way you can jailbreak due to a flaw in the firmware.
 
I tried a Moto Droid for a week. Just not refined. Its like eating canned chocolate pudding instead of chocolate mousse from a upscale restaurant. Just no comparison.

I keep hearing these luxury metaphors regarding Apple devices. Since when has computing ever been a luxury thing? Color me confused on this... :confused:
