I've already been charged for 2 6's. Receipt is in my Verizon. Status page says delivers by 9/19.

Unlikely they shipped it today since receipt says 2 biz day FedEx.

So far, everyone charged the actual amounts for the phone has ordered a 6, not a 6+.

I'm guessing due to the incredible demand, they haven't gotten around to charging cards for the 6+.

Mine says deliver by 9/19 and still no activity at all in bank account. This happens with a lot of things I buy though so I'll probably see something when it ships.

I got my confirmation email at 2:59 AM EST,
but still see
Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time.

128 gbSpace Gray model. what's up??

Nothing. You'll get it on time and you'll be happy.

I've pre-ordered iphones and ipads over the years. In my experience, the info sometimes got wonky and each time, the day the item is to be launched Fed Ex showed up at my door, rang the doorbell and asked me to sign at about 8am.

I cannot blame many on here for being anxious. Apple makes a darn fine product ;-)

I still have a delivery by 9/19 date but no shipping information. Just a "received your order and it is in process" statement.

phew... thanks! first day of waiting down... 6 more to go.

I'm in the exact same situation. Same exact phone and same dates listed. Site said 9/19 when ordering, got the email a couple hours later that says 9/12 for both and status page says 10/14. I really hope that the 10/14 day is wrong because I don't want to have to wait in line on Friday.

Yeah, if it stays this way I'm getting mine from the Verizon store Friday.

I placed an order for an off-contract full retail 128GB 6+.

Later, I received TWO confirmation emails, one for a 6 and one for a 6+. Both emails show a Deliver By date of 9/19. On the shipping status page, the 6 shows 9/19, the 6+ has the "no additional info available".

I'm overseas now and not really interested in sitting on hold with verizon for an hour. But I'm going to be slightly bummed if I actually end up with TWO full retail phones and have to do the return/restocking or ebay shuffle.

Update: I was just charged by Verizon for the 6. $849. Darn it!

My order status is similar to most in here.

- confirmation email
- no bank charges
- order is being processed

I called verizon about an hour ago and the rep said that the phone will be at my door on the 19th. She said just go by what the email said.

10/14 here. I'm a new customer though. Thank The Lord. They could ship it in 2 months for all I care. AT&T literally places their towers based on population density — where all the wifi is anyways. As a kayaker, it will be great to have some sort of communication in case of an emergency on the river.

I ordered mine about an hour ago, btw. Sorry for the details, but usually I'm all about getting the device. This time, I'm more relieved to know I'm going to have a better provider.

Ordered through VZW around 0:10 PDT, 6+ 64 Space Gray, page showed deliver by 9/19, an hour later email arrived, says deliver by 9/19.

Last night when I used the order status webpage the delivery date showed as 9/19, this morning when I check it says not available, and it's the same for the rest of the day.

I called VZW and used automated order status checker, it tells me it's "pending shipping". Got to a CS and she told me the "deliver by" date on the confirmation email will be honored, despite whatever the order status page says. Also I had a temp authorization on the CC, but it's gone as of now.

I guess let it sort things out over the weekend.

First world problem, really.

again

this is pretty much SOP for verizon pre orders

don't worry, unless something drastic happens like apple suddenly saying no plusses for anyone, verizon will ship according to email.

you guys are forgetting, apple and these carries signed contracts. you don't think people do business any more by hand shake, do you? if apple causes verizon to lose customers by not providing the phones they promised, do you think verizon will just say "aw shucks" and move on? no, there will be serious repercussions to apple in a corporate way. apple would much rather screw over regular end users than big cell phone carriers by not providing apple.com pre orders to regular joes.

thats pretty much business 101

Actually it's the other way around. Apple dictates the terms to the carriers. No bloatware allowed. How many they must order, etc. Remember how much Sprint had to shell out to sell the iphone a few years ago? I think they had to agree to purchase $1.5 billion in iPhones. I guarantee, the carriers don't like being told what to do, but they have to do as they are told if they want the iPhone.

ya i don't care who dictates the terms, it still means they agreed upon "terms" that if not met are going to cause a rift between companies. like i said, if apple doesn't deliver on the phones they "forced/allowed" verizon to take, there will be repercussions.

I've spoken to VZW customer service twice about my order for two 6 Plus 128GB models and they've been really nice both times. Pretty much what I've been told is my ship date of 10/14 is just an estimate and it could easily be moved up. She also told me there's no point in thing to my local now as my online preorder is best kept where it's at in the que; pretty obvious. I hope to see some movement early next week with my order and hopefully a surprise credit card charge. Good luck everyone!

Ordered a 6 and a 6+ shortly after preorders opened.

Website told me 9/19 when I completed the order.

Email came in a couple hours later and showed 10/7 (grrrr).

Checking order status at that time also showed 10/7.

Checking order status today now shows 9/19.

Verizon has only charged $1 so far.

Perhaps the 9/19 is for the 6 and 10/7 is for the Plus.

I ordered three 6+ last night (expensive night!). A gray and silver have a 9/19 delivery date and a gold one has a 10/7 date. People are getting too freaked out about the status and info not available. I had that when ordering the last 3 iphones and they all arrived on the date given when the order was placed.
