I bought mine off contract (6+ 64GB SG) and received a tracking number yesterday morning. Ordered at 3:14 AM on 9/12.

When did you receive your confirmation email?

That's the exact model and time of my order and I haven't heard anything, and my confirmation email even said 10/7 which seemed like a joke to me.
 
I am seeing some people who ordered their phones (Plus 64GB Space Gray) get shipping confirmation. I was in the group that stared the order with a 9/19 delivery date but by the time it processed was pushed to 10/7.

My question is, has anyone with the 10/7 date received shipping confirmation/tracking numbers yet? Or are all these being listed had the 9/19 date?

My order number was a 90***.

Hey , im in the same boat.. but a little twist , the store that ordered it for me is around 250 miles from me ( My out of state friend hooked me up) so either way im waiting a few more days to get it shipped to me.. but id like to know that it will hopefully be here by next monday , and not something in mid October

Good to know I have company in same boat...Anyway, I'll go to that store on Friday.

That's a little bit more comforting. Sounds like around the same time my order went through and I got the same model. What did your delivery date in the original email say?

My original delivery date in my email confirmation was 9/19.

I am bummed that I can't use it now as I moved in June. The public info they pull the address verification check from hasn't updated. FedEx either. I just tried the verify by postal mail method. Hopefully that works and they will send me a code to input online.

All - FedEx and UPS both have these services. If you sign up (both are free for basic info) whenever you have a package on its way to you it shows up. Often you will see it before you receive tracking info from the company you ordered from. Just passing this on as it is a for sure method to see when your phone has been sent. This way you don't have to try to guess reference numbers or whatever. I usually see the tracking as soon as the label has been created.

This is another rant but another good tip I have for the UPS service....when Amazon prime screws you over and sends UPS Surepost you can set your UPS account to automatically upgrade to real UPS for $5. Then you email Amazon and complain loudly to get your money back and often a free month of prime for not getting 2 day service.:) BTW I just found the above code for premium gets that down to $3.50... THANKS again!

I've haven't found a similar option on FedEx for Smart Post. Wish they would add it as Amazon uses that more to screw prime members over.

Thanks for the tip. I use Prime and the first thing that has not shipped Prime this year is my flipping' iPhone 6 case. It apparently is on turtle post and is "estimated" to arrive on Thursday (should have been Monday with Prime).
 
The only people who should really be worried are those who got their order cancelled and those who missed the 9/19 window. Everyone else should be good.
 
If that's true, it sounds like Verizon is taking care of its loyal customers first :p How is that lame or shady? The fact that you're buying off contract means you want to be able to just "up and go". They would call you the shady one :cool:

That doesn't really make any sense. I am a loyal customer, and have been for going on four years now. The reason I bought off contract is because I don't have an upgrade to spend... I used it a year ago on a Moto X, which will be replaced by the 6+.

What's lame and shady is taking an order and providing an expected delivery of 9/19, then changing it to 10/7 without warning and blaming it on "supply constraints," only for me to find out that people ordering the exact same phone at a later time have already seen theirs shipped. If I had known it wouldn't be delivered until 10/7, I would've ordered elsewhere, but I was promised delivery on 9/19. That's called bait-and-switch, and is illegal, so I would say "shady" is being nice.

I have that location. Ordered around 4:00a CST (took a full 2 hours to get past the ECPD error!). Ordered a 6+, 64GB, Space Gray. I received my confirmation email right away with a 10/7 date, and my new Edge agreement appeared in my account. Also saw the $1 credit/debit on my card.

However, I get nothing when I check the 2 order status sites, and the order doesn't appear in My Orders in my Verizon account (I get the 'technical difficulties' error message others have been reporting).

But I chatted (online) with a rep yesterday afternoon who assured me she saw the order ..I just wanted to make sure it wasn't lost or cancelled. Also told me I should still have it by 10/7.
 
Cancelling Pre Order - Ordering in store

so i reached out to VZWsupport on twitter about maybe cancelling my pre order , if ican get one in the store on Friday , the response i got was

Thanks for reaching out! You should be able to cancel the phone order portion in store, but wait until you speak to someone. ^NN

I may go to a verizon store on Thurs , tell them what i want to do.. and make sure id be safe doing so. Kinda cover my bases both ways

Oh puh-lease. It's not a bait and switch, you just don't know what you're talking about at all. It's obvious most people in this thread have zero clue how e-commerce inventory, webstore or OMS (order management systems) work and interlink. Almost no one uses realtime inventory reservation, based merely on a checkout session. And the few that do, are using very expensive and modern systems to do so. Verizon's using the same system they've had for a decade largely. As you checkout the snapshot provided is a latest look at the inventory, an estimation, not a guarantee. It isn't until you actually complete checkout, and the webstore hands off your order to the OMS that you actually are in the system assigned to inventory or future inventory. This is why your confirmation email is so important, that confirms your order, to inventory, in the OMS. 9/10 times that will stay the same. But when you have tens of thousands of people ordering at once, every minute, that inventory will dry up faster than the system catches up.

No one is out to get you, or screwing you, people were just faster than you. You've never had an order fail at checkout on another site because inventory was gone? or had an item that listed in stock go backorder? This isn't all that much different.
 
Has anyone in Houston or even Texas had any shipping info? I ordered mine and received the 9/19 ship date. Still says "Not available" under status but called and they said it would be shipping by the 19th.

Houstonian. Same for me. Both email and order status shows 9/19. No shipping email or charge on credit card. I'm guessing because my order number is 1XXXXXX (1 mil).
