Remember they said there may be a prorated monthly service charge on there. it will balance out once you activated the new one. I bet your on the old unlimited data plan huh?

Ahh, ok. I need to have them move that charge to the company invoice then it seems. But yeah, unlimited data has been grandfathered into the phone...pretty happy about that :D

Just called Verizon to verify that there wasn't anything wrong with any credit card information. And while i was at it i asked about the "Not available at this time" and she claimed that the quantities of phones that Verizon has are changing so they are still unsure of when the phones will actually ship. Probably means absolutely nothing considering the reps usually know as much as us, but just putting it out there.

16GB GOLD 6+
I was told by a Verizon supervisor that they do not have any of these at all due to Apple not supplying them and the earliest they will be sent out is for 10/14. You can call the Internet order customer service line at 866-338-7390 to verify.

I ordered a 64gb gold 6+ 9/12 and received a 10/14 deliver by date via email so this would make sense

I know of 2 people who ordered the 64gb gold + and one has a tracking number and the other is still waiting on their tracking. They must of found some gold phones in the back to ship. :)

First off, I do know how inventory management works, seeing as I work in a manufacturing facility. But that's beside the point.

My point is that I was given a delivery date, not an estimated delivery date. Those are two very different things. And regardless of that, my deliver date of 9/19 was given again after my order was completed, not before I could complete it (as you can see in my attached image). And as I said, others with the exact same phone as me with a later order date are already seeing theirs shipped, so I'm not sure how the "people were just faster than you" theory applies.

Maybe calling Verizon out for illegal practices was a bit harsh, and I certainly understand that nobody at VZW is specifically out to get me. I wasn't even that upset when I saw the 10/7 date in my confirmation email, because honestly, whatever, it's two weeks, I can deal. What upsets me is seeing all these orders for the same exact device configuration ordered after mine was complete shipping out, and the only difference that I can see is that I didn't buy mine on contract. Plus, it upsets me that when I talked to Verizon about it, their response was basically "Sorry for your luck."

But as I said, that's basically par for the course at this point. I've been with Verizon for 7 of the past 9 years (AT&T from 09-11 specifically for the iPhone), and this is the kind of customer support I always get. When I ported my number over from VZW to ATT when I got my 3GS, the rep literally said, "Have fun, we'll see you when you come back," as if I should feel privileged to get to use the almighty Verizon network. Then when I tried to return a crappy phone a while back and get a different one, they said that (despite paying for it outright) my 14 day return period wouldn't reset. So I returned the bad phone, and bought the different phone outright to get the 14 day return period (in case I had the same signal/call quality issues as the original phone, which I only noticed after a week of use), and the rep called me dishonest to my face and said I was "cheating the system." As if I would willingly get a completely new phone every 14 days.

Haha, manufacturing plant...yeah that's associated and still 4 links down the chain of the Webstore-> OMS -> ERP -> Logistics -> Plant, so you're still not really there. But that's fine.

Your long rambling really doesn't say much. As I clearly stated, anything before your confirmation email isn't confirmed, and not tied to inventory. As I bolded you admit your email said 10/7, so that's what it is. All dates on the site are just the webstore giving you info in snapshots it gets from the OMS. You are trying to hold that as firm delivery date, but it's not, it's estimated. If you call they will tell you that, and I will as well since that holds nearly universally true in the space.
Why some people are shipping after you is anyone's guess. Verizon did take the entire preorder system down for a short time to fix some bugs (notably the Loyalty one that hit many) so what orders were in the feed que during that time and how they were processed on resume will forever be up to speculation.

Some time soon, everyone will have their phones....and let's remember perspective, it's just a phone.

I called in since so many of you have and got the basic "I don't see a date and can't speculate" answer. It seems very likely that there are too many variables in play to make accurate predictions and its all going to come down to how many phones Apple ships to which VZ location. A lot of people on this thread are probably in for week(s) of waiting with speculation to try to occupy the time.

On the bright side it sounds like the Chinese Government is trying to assert itself by screwing up the launch there. Hopefully that means more supply for the rest of us!

It has happened in the past that Verizon thought they would receive more units than they actually got. A lot of the availability/delivery estimates are based on hope and wishful thinking on the part of the carriers.

With past preorders, has anyone here ever had a preorder confirmation email that said a delivery date, but then their online status was stuck on processing?

What was the result? Did you get your phone on the day the confirmation email said or was it delayed/stuck in limbo?

I have a hard time with them saying that... Don't plaster "deliver by" dates prior to ordering if you're not sure you can honor it... I'm still optimistic I will see my Silver 128gb 6+ on Friday as confirmation email indicates.

According to her they're getting or have got more phones and still don't have a good calculation of how many they received. She said that the phones that were said to be shipped later might be shipped earlier because of this.

But yeah I'm completely agree if you tell a consumer something you have to honor it, if not make it better like early delivery :)

If i go to a verizon store and buy an iPhone 6+ outright for full price and then wait till the afternoon to see if my preorder arrives, can I return the full price purchase and just keep the preorder if it shows up? At the same time if the preorder doesn't show up, can i return the online preorder and then activate the full price phone?

I wouldn't recommend risking an extra $500 just to get a phone early.

But i could return it right? My fear is that somehow my order is lost in the system and i end up getting it way late like end of November because there was an error with the order or something.

Ok, all of you with Ace Order Location: D771001, post your updates here, we'll keep it in this area to keep everyone updated and "hopefully" sated...

Yes you could, but assuming the pre-order does not arrive, then what are you gonna do?

Seems like I have one of the smoothest orders on here. Ordered at 12:11am, 6+ 128GB gold. Got 9/19 delivery date at order, and 9/19 delivery date in email confirmation about 1 hr after ordering.

Received shipping notification ~8:30am Monday morning PDT. The tracking number wasn't working all day yesterday, but now UPS shows shipped date of 9/18 (two days from now) with next day air saver delivery. The notice is pretty clear - says they have created a shipping label, but haven't received the actual shipment yet. I take that as completely normal, and would expect the device / box / package to get into UPS hands Thursday, for delivery Friday.

My CC was charged yesterday at midnight for $949, as expected. Look like everything is on track. I'm in NorCal (San Fran).

Maybe it's just me, but it sure seems like a lot of the troubled orders are upgrade / contract / edge / etc orders. Seems like a lot of people got punted over to credit / fraud review or whatever and that put them to the back of the line. I think it's just a lot easier to buy the phone outright, because that probably skips a whole bunch of review steps for the order.

What is the status of your order right now? What did your confrimation email say?

Confirmation email says 9/19 delivery. Online status says "processing, no shipment information, check back tomorrow"

The "check back tomorrow seems very audacious on Verizon's part"

Ordered 2 phones on 9/12 a little after 7am ET. One 64GB Gold and one 64GB Gold Plus. Got my email confirmation within a few minutes with estimated delivery date of 10/7. Got the $1 hold the same day. I checked my order throughout the day. By late afternoon, VZW's preorder page updated to Estimated Shipping Date 9/19. It has stayed that way since. No movement on both VZW and my credit card. I'm in the Northeast, order location D771101. I'm guessing I'll get the phones between 9/19 and 10/7.

I've been trying to just check this post every now and again and not get too invested while they sorted out pre-orders, but getting a little more worried now.

I ordered a space grey 6+ 64GB at 12:06am PST showing 9/19 delivery, and received a confirmation e-mail at 1:19am PST showing 9/19 as well, but that's the last that's happened.

-No pending charges for any amount
-No order history in my verizon
-Order status still the same no changes
-No tracking info

Is this still normal or have I fallen through the cracks?
