VZW Order Status Thread

Leads me to believe SoCal is very close to the initial holding location, unlike those back east that moved from TN to PA or Newark. Hoping to see movement overnight tonight and at the local facility tomorrow so it will be out for delivery Friday.

Congrats with the tracking number! I'm pretty sure you'll have yours Friday. For me the order doesn't even show up on the "My Orders" section of the verizon site. Literally all I've gotten is a confirmation email. Have heard others saying we might be closer to where they're being shipped from, but any updates from now-tomorrow would be comforting lol.. The LEAST they could do for people who won't receive their phones Fri is a notice at least..

Thanks so much guys. Yeah I've kinda accepted that it's okay if it doesn't come Friday, but I'm locked in with Gazelle for my old 5 for $195 until 10/10 so 10/7 would really be pushing it. That's the only reason I'm a little uneasy. My order number though is 151*** and my brother's that I did after mine was 151*** and a couple hundred up and his was the 16GB regular 6. So I'm hoping my order number of 151*** is just overall and not just for a specific model. In that case, I think we're all going to get them on Friday.

got off the phone to make sure my order was good since the $1 was no longer pending. He said the plus is backordered and so I asked if it was still possible to get on the 19th and he said its not out of the question. So 10/7 could still have a chance.

NJ is only 6 hours away from me...I don't work till 1pm tomorrow...

Do you think the distribution center would answer for the crazy guy knocking on the window with a tracking number. Lol.

Mine has been a bit wacky (UPS). Today it showed Jacksonville then Jackson and now nothing (origin is Memphis). Also strange that it starts with "order processed 9/18." And then shows where I chose to pick up the package at a UPS facility on 9/16. Maybe there systems are a little screwy, too. Still figuring all is well.

He also said until you are charged it won't ship. So your card being charged is the key.

I had that same $1 charge auth on my AMEX and it disappeared today as well. Am still in "Pending" status. NYC here. Really frustrating.

What are you expecting? FedEx (and UPS) have been requested by Apple to hold the deliveries until Friday so that nobody gets their phones early. The only reason you see movement is that they are simply moving the deliveries to the appropriate hubs in your region. You will see more movement come tomorrow night.

Just one thing to keep in mind, I'm not sure, because I don't work at Verizon, but I'd guess they don't have different order numbers for different phones... maybe, but also possible order numbers are being given for people who happen to order droids and other phones right now...

Also, I know, since I had to cancel initial order, you get a new order number when you cancel and re-order so... 2 million isn't quite accurate, many of those before you are cancelled orders.

Also, my order is at 7 million mark, and I ordered yesterday... got delivery date of 9/19, but I got a less popular 6-128gb silver model...

I ordered at 6am on the 12th due to upgrade date BS and my order number is 10,21x,xxx so I am thinking the order numbers aren't accurate either?

I received my tracking number in an email at 3:04AM for UPS. The UPS site shows this as an invalid tracking number. I saw people report this issue yesterday and was just wondering how long after you received the email until the tracking number showed up in the UPS system?
