Weather channel on the other hand says the weather over there is pretty nice. IT'S A CONSPIRACY! :confused:
 
I placed my order at 2:30 cst (30 minutes after preorders opened) 1,020,XXX order number. My 64gb + sg was processed at 3:30 pm yesterday (17th) and I had tracking info from fedex around 3 am this morning. It has left the facility in Coatesville, Pa and will arrive in Alabama tomorrow by 3pm via Fedex. :)

Was your email confirmation date 9/19? I ordered at the same time with a 1,030,xxx order number and I'm CST too. I've seen no movement on mine though.

Makes no sense because it's barely rained there this past month according to weather.com
 
FYI: The Jump The Line thing is a LIE!!!

Just got off of a long heated discussion with their manager..

She advised that once the order is placed there is NO WAY to change when you will get your phone.

Needless to say that I was not a happy customer...

The person that I spoke to yesterday left VERY vague notes...

They wouldn't give me any credit for the rep lieing to me....and the manager was pretty rude.


Hmm it may or may not be a lie but:

My original order was canceled by Verizon and when I called the rep told me that my order had already been recreated and they were pushing me to the front so I could keep my original delivery date. The confirmation email for the new order said 10/28, however, my phone has been shipped and is on track for delivery tomorrow.
 
shipment notification came in around 1am, SoCal here. There was hope all along!

This is not true, I have used the form for every release and they take my form and leave my phone. Worked every time for Indirect Signature for both VZ and Apple direct.

Last time I physically went down to a FedEx and asked for a form. They said there is none. Only the tag that they leave after an attempted delivery. Do you have a link to this form?

Re: indirect signature. Directly from the FedEx site:

Indirect Signature Required: FedEx obtains a signature from someone at the delivery address; from a neighbor, building manager or someone at a neighboring address; or the recipient can also leave a FedEx Door Tag authorizing release of the package without anyone present.

It is very much not a lie.

Not saying the manager you spoke with had any clue, but it's not a lie by any means.

Apparently there was an internal fraud detection which delayed my order from being processed into their system for several hours (bringing my expected delivery to 10/21). I did not find this out until I called to check my status. Without making a big fuss, someone was able to fill out the "jump the line" request for me around 2 pm yesterday. Within the hour my status changed.
 
what is there to despise UPS???? What did they do??? ;)

Well this week I experienced another instance of their incompetence.

I used the "MyUPS" thing to put in my door code and instruct a package to be left at my apartment door on Monday. The guy comes and leaves it at the door of the APARTMENT BUILDING. A public entrance on a busy street that hundreds of people walk by every hour. If I hadn't been home to grab it instantly, it would have been stolen in minutes.
 
Does anybody know about an indirect signature form through UPS? Can I just leave a note?


Also, about this weather condition in KY (which is from 2011, apparently...) my package is in transit and just departed the KY facility.
 
D772001 order# 142xxx and this was placed about 30 mins after preorder for the 64GB and still nothing! I am losing hope after seeing people place orders after me get tracking. Theirs of course are either 128 or 16GB.

Same location and my order number was 139XXX (almost 140000) so looks like a 3k difference in orders. Mine is on its way now.

See this happened to me also, but when I called they said that the fraud detection did not delay my order, I was told this had no bearing on when my order posted which was 5:15 am PST, which was way later than my pre order.

I have spoken to two VZW reps (one via online chat, one via *611), and both assure me that 10/7 is the EARLIEST that I would receive my phone. Neither were entirely helpful, nor did they seem overly knowledgeable.

No progress on order status page (in process, estimated delivery not available), no CC charge, and no further communication from Verizon.
 
Still is telling me they will be delivered today.... anyone still have the ETA of today?

I have found out that it really comes down to the driver's discretion, and any unique policies that the local FedEx branch may have. There is no absolute answer to this issue.
